  • Not bad, but warranty is better
Size: 1500VA Style: UPS
Bought two of these (about a couple years apart) to support the low voltage infrastructure in my house (e.g. networking, FiOS, etc.). Specifically bought two to split the load so that in an outage I get a few hours runtime (to hopefully get me through the outage). With this, the screens showed runtime of 3+ hours each. During an actual outage, I got maybe half on one and less on the other. One of them could be turned on again for a few minutes, but pretty disappointing overall. Positive - they honored the 5 year warranty on this, provided a UPS label (key considering they weigh about 25 lbs. each), and the new replacements also carried a new 5 year warranty. Each replacement took about 3 weeks round trip. So, jury's out on the replacements but glad the warranty was honored without much hassle. ... show more

  • Died after 2 years. No help from CyberPower support. - UPDATED REVIEW
Size: 1500VA Style: UPS
Worked great for 2 years. Provided backup power for four, PR4100 NAS' and a high spec gaming PC. The unit died however and would no longer charge the battery. Error code shown was F03 and as per the manual it says to contact CyberPower support. After contacting CyberPower support, I have never heard back from them. While this was a decent unit, there is absolutely NO customer support. That alone makes me suggest to others to steer clear of this brand and opt for an alternative instead. 5 year warranty was not honored. Complete ripoff. REVIEW UPDATE: I had two of these units and the second one has now died in less than a year and the resulting spike it created has killed two of the peripherals plugged into it. These things are absolute garbage. There is no help from CyberPower and they do not honor their warranty. Stay far away from them and go with APC. ... show more

  • Don’t buy this Model # if you want consistent power. Period.
Size: 850VA Style: UPS
I was VERY satisfied with my previous Cyberpower CP1500AVRLCD UPS - LCD. It was reliable and protected my various equipment (iMac, Xfinity modem, Apple Airport, Canon printer, and shredder) for seven years.. I highly endorse the reliability of the Cyberpower CP1500AVRLCD UPS. By contrast, the CyberPower BRG850AVRLCD has been the bane of my existence for the ONE year that I’ve owned it. It regularly (1-3 times a week) turns itself off, thereby cutting me off from my WiFi network, which means that I can’t reach the Internet on my WiFi-only iPad and I can’t print from my iPad or iPhone 8 Plus. I cannot back up my files to iCloud or Dropbox. I must leave my bedroom if I’m alone and get to my old office where my iMac, printer, and the CyberPower are. That would’ve a simple inconvenience except for the fact that I’m disabled and do all of my work from the bed. Sometimes the unit is simply “off” without explanation. Lately, however, the screen shows “F 02.” I found a manual online; Fault 02=“Battery output short fault. (Unplug at least one piece of equipment and turn the battery on again.”) I guess that I’ll have to decide which of my electronics can.be moved off the battery and onto the less protected “surge only” plugs. on the back of the unit. Why offer more backup plug receptacles than the unit can support? ... show more

  • Unit failed after 3 years
Size: 1500VA Style: UPS
Easy to setup and was working great up until the 3 year mark. Now, if the electricity flickers or power goes out, the UPS just shuts off, the battery does not kick in and provide backup. I have to hold the power button on the UPS to turn it back on. The unit indicates that it is fully charged and can provide ### mins of backup, but it just turns off now. Update: Contacted cyberpower. Customer service is super slow, takes weeks to respond. They determined it’s bad battery but not willing to replace it under warranty. 5 year warranty is useless. Poor customer service. ... show more

  • Critical backup UPS. Problems. Nov 2020 update
Size: 1500VA Style: UPS
Bought this less than a year ago as an Amazon Deal of the Day. First issue was after a few months of use the power button LED started flickering intermittently. CyberPower sent a replacement front panel and I replaced the panel. All-OK until recently the LCD display has gotten so dim you cannot see it in a normally lit room. UPDATE 11.21.2020 Display so dim you have to be in a dark room to see it, and power button has gone black. But UPS still works. I will be shipping this back just before the warranty expires. ... show more

  • A fire hazard !
Size: 1000VA Style: UPS
I don't feel safe with this product. As in, I'm afraid of what this CyberPower UPS did. I had this CyberPower UPS for one day and it went bad. Here's what happened. I ran a self-test through CyberPower's PowerPanel Personal software for Windows via USB, and the moment I clicked on "Initiate self-test" the CyberPower UPS made a loud pop noise, it turned itself off, and then smoke came out of the sides of this product through its vents. This product has filled my bedroom with a horrendous burnt-electronics smell. I do not recommend this product at all. I'm afraid of this thing igniting itself in flames and burning my house down. ... show more
