  • THEY WORK!!
One of my little ones suddenly began having “accidents” either in her sleep or as she was waking up. It’s important to note, she sleeps and naps on my bed along with her sister and a multitude of their babies to cuddle up with. After with a few weeks of “accidents”, but only when she’s sleeping or upon waking, I didn’t know what we were dealing with. It was unlike the only other experience I’d had with a dog’s bladder infection where he peed all the time and everywhere. Finally, in spite of Covid-19, we got in to see the vet for this problem. She has/had a bladder infection and vaginitis, probably from licking, being a little uncomfortable due to the bladder infection. We began a 10 day course of antibiotics. Because she wasn’t having accidents all over the house, we didn’t know if the infections were responsible for her “accidents” alone or if they contributed to it but she was developing incontinence. After all, it’s quite common with older dogs and my girls are both 14. I continued to “deal” with her wetting MY bed, although less frequently while she was being treated for the infections. The final straw was when she was curled up against my hip, not on top of the covers, but on the bottom sheet as I sat here & worked on my computer last Fri —she had another one. It immediately soaked right through the sheet into the foam mattress topper! Hello Amazon, I need doggie diapers…now! I started out researching disposable ones because that’s primarily what came up in my “search”. But I hated the idea of putting her in plastic and adding to all the baby diapers already in land fills. After spending hours, reading, learning about disposables, as well as the cloth ones, I settled on these CuteBone diapers and bought two packages of 3. They arrived last night. The first one, after adjusting the leg openings, was put on her before she settle down for the night. It was dry when we awoke this morning but the girls got off the bed ahead of me and raced to the doggie door. OOPS! She went potty like a good girl—outside. Unfortunately, she still had her diaper on. Okkkk…. I caught her on her way back inside, removed & hand washed it immediately. and put it outside to dry. After breakfast I put a clean one on her and she settled down for a nap with her sister—on my bed. A few hours later, they both awoke and getting ahead of me, again, got off the bed and raced to the doggie door. Again, being a good girl, she went potty outside….but with her diaper still on--again. And, again, I grabbed her on the way back inside, removed the now wet diaper, washed it and put it outside to dry in the sun. The first one almost completely dry already but it is mid-July and warm outside. Now…. I’ve learned two things……these diapers really do work and I need a new system so I get the diaper off her BEFORE she goes outside to go potty. We finished the antibiotics over the weekend and will be returning to the vet this week to make sure we’ve got the infections all cleared up. I still don’t know if she’s also dealing with incontinence, or if this is over, since there have been no accidents for a couple days. I figure with two 14 yr old girl dogs, if we really don’t need the diapers now, but with as common as incontinence is in older dogs, odds are we will. My experience, after her first thing in the morning potty being well contained within her diaper—I wish I’d had these about 3-4 weeks ago when the accidents first started. Getting a good fit is paramount in preventing leakage. First you must know your dog’s waist measurement and the distances to it from the base of your dog’s tail both on their back, as well as on their belly. CuteBone’s diapers are adjustable 3 ways: 1) The waist has a lot of adjustment with all the velcro present on both the straps and the back of the garment. 2) If you look at the inside, you’ll notice a little button on each side where, when you put it on your dog, will form the leg openings. You need to unbutton that button. It comes buttoned in the first buttonhole. If you unbutton it, and pull out the strip it’s buttoned through, there are a number of additional button holes. As you pull the strip out, you’ll notice the side of the diaper begins to pucker as you draw that side up, making it smaller. I moved the button 4 spaces, or button holes, on both sides and it fits my dog perfectly in the legs. 3) On the outside back of the diapers I received there are 2 sets of snaps. You can snap them together, shortening the length of the garment, tail to waist on the dog’s back. The website ssys they’re shipped randomly, with or without the snaps. I suspect as they use up the inventory of the older style ones without the snaps, the new ones with them are all there will be. After her first thing in the morning urination, I know these will hold a lot of urine. When I removed the diaper, there was no run-off —it was all contained within the permanent, sewn-in pad. My dog weighs 11-12 lbs. Her waist measured 11 1/2”. I’ve forgotten exactly what her waist to tail measurements were but I think they were ~ 4-5”. Unlike on the charts there wasn’t a big difference on her whether measuring her back tail to waist or belly side, tail to waist. I bought the small and they work great. The fit, after adjusting the legs, is perfect. She doesn’t mind wearing it at all and iIt doesn’t appear to restrict her movements. I feel better about keeping her in cloth panties instead of sealing her up in plastic, if we need to live like this from now on. There are numerous patterns and colors of fabric that make them a little more fun. I chose the Doggie Floral D14S and Doggie Butterfly & Flowers D22S for my girls. They’re bright and cheerful and aren’t obviously a diaper, thus preserving her dignity. I hope this review helps others facing incontinence problems with their 4 legged children. I highly recommend these CuteBone diapers. ... show more

  • Well made with secure and adjustable attachment
Pattern Name: 1#Floral 3pcs Size: L
We got these diapers (large size) for a one year old Pointer in “season”. Being a young, long & thin (large chest but very small waist), active dog means there are challenges in finding a diaper that fits and stays on. These diapers fit her and stay on as well as can be expected. There are large swaths of Velcro at the attachment points which allow the diapers to accommodate and attach securely to a wider range of shapes. Previously we tried disposable diapers (large) and found the fit not as good and the attachment not nearly as secure falling off almost as soon as she started moving. Final thoughts For our application the Cutbone diapers could fit better if the were a little longer above the cutout for the tail. They work well for the amount of flow we’re trying to catch- I’m unsure how well they might work if we were using them for potty training. ... show more

  • Work Great
Pattern Name: 1#Floral 3pcs Size: S
We purchased these for our Shih Tzu puppy since she went into heat right before her spay. She is about 10 pounds. We followed the measuring instructions and ordered size small. They fit well and what's nice is they have adjustable velcro straps and even snaps in case you need bigger/smaller. We have been using disposable pads inside since we need to change the diapers out so frequently. To my knowledge there haven't been any leaks, but she occasionally wiggles her way out of them through the night. I can't speak on how they would be for incontinence. The prints are very cute! Would buy again! ... show more

  • They’re pretty good!
Pattern Name: Unicorn&pig&sheep Size: L
I measured my dog before purchasing and they still fit her a little strangely. The velcro is quite thick so it’s hard to position it where she is comfortable with it under her tummy (even through it’s only elastic under the belly area) because of the thickness of the velcro. She is a corgi so she’s shaped like a loaf of bread which could also be the issue. They do stay on fairly well, although she has escaped them a couple of times. All in all, she has another set from a brand I purchased on here called leaky loos she wears at night, and these during the day. I do enjoy these as they seem a bit more comfortable for her legs because the legs are adjustable and the tummy area doesn’t fit as tightly as the other brand. ... show more

  • FINALLY I got dog diapers that work.
Pattern Name: 1#Floral 3pcs Size: S
I ordered several different cloth diapers and none of them fit my little minipincher dog who weight around 8.5 pounds. She slipped out of all the paper ones and the other cloth ones did not work either. These ones fit her perfectly and they were the softest and most comfortable for her. I highly recommend them for small dogs. ... show more

  • Awesome Product! Perfect for my Pup.
I love these diapers. I got a pack when she went into her first heat and quickly purchased another pack. I have since then purchased another pack because they fit her perfectly, and the times that she has had an accident in them, they hold the urine really well. Highly recommend. My girl is a 10lb cockapoo, but it very slender and the small fits her well. If she were any thicker, I would recommend the size bigger. ... show more

  • Great fit
Pattern Name: 2#Floral 3pcs Size: S
I measured my pup and these fit great. The adjustable Velcro holds well and she was only able to remove it once when I didn’t put it on tight enough. Material is soft. I use a liner so I don’t have to wash them everyday but they do wash really well.

  • Great for dog in heat.
Pattern Name: 1#Floral 3pcs Size: S
Great item for our pup in heat. Machine washable helps eliminate trash from disposable diapers. Also, very, very cute patterns! Having it come in a 3-pack enables me to be able to wash and provide daily diaper changes. Super fast shipping, too. Adjustable velcro strips made for easy on and off, as well as keeping the dog comfortable. Also keeps her from staining furniture and bedding. Diapers stay on, even with vigorous play. Comfortable enough for her to sleep in. Well worth the money. ... show more
