Just finished fencing in an acre of pasture and electrified two poly wire lines toward the bottom. My fence energizer is in the barn 100 ft away so having an on/off switch right near the gate is helpful. It's a very simple mechanical switch, when it's closed there will be continuity between the top and bottom posts. When open, the hinge moves rather freely so I recommend mounting in the vertical position to ensure it doesn't accidentally fall closed. Best application for it so far is that I can actuate it from sitting atop my zero turn which makes mowing under my bottom line a breeze. ... show more
