Great versatile bench! Got this for a second home that only has dumbells available. Easy to fold up and store when not in use. Sturdy, but not even close to testing the described weight limit of 900 pounds! Even if I could get close to that number, I would NOT do it on this bench, or any adjustable bench... I think the included bands are a bit of a gimmick, but maybe useful for those just starting out. Padding is very good - soft but firm. Head rest is removable as needed or not. It’s somewhat simple to put together, though some of the pins were a bit tricky to set in place. Once assembled, adjusting the bench is straightforward and easy to use, making it versatile for different exercises.     • Sturdy and easy installation
Putting together this bench is extremely simple and includes all necessary items for assembly. Extremely sturdy (even on rugs) and highly resilient. I appreciate the flexibility it provides and particularly enjoy the convenience of being able to easily fold it away when not needed. Folding it is also simple. The "lumbar support" is simply a cushion with a strap that goes over the back...not very complex but effective. It also comes equipped with hooks at the bottom for those who like to use resistance bands in their workouts instead of dumbbells. I won’t sugar coat it, I’m just under 500lbs and this bench takes my weight easily and without any concerning issues about whether it can hold my weight for longer periods of time. It was easy to put together, the pieces fit tightly and didn’t come loose, and I’ve only had to tighten it once in the months I’ve had it. This adjustable weight bench is a solid addition to any home gym. It’s really sturdy and supports up to 900 lbs, which is impressive. The adjustable headrest and lumbar support are great for comfort during workouts. However, it’s a bit bulky when folded, so storage can be a challenge.     • I cancelled my gym membership now that I have this weight bench
a really well made weight bench. I have a full set of weights at home and needed a bench in order to cancel my gym membership. I needed a bench that could easily be put away in a closet, was sturdy as I'm a big guy and is going to last. This weight bench fits all those criteria. This is probably the worst gym bench I’ve seen. The manufacturing quality and tolerances are just abysmal. I couldn’t even attach the headrest and footrest because they simply did not fit. You can see in one of my photos that there’s about a 1cm gap when I tried to install the footrest. I couldn’t get it to go in fully even after pounding it with a mallet. The manufacturing tolerances seem to simply be horrible. I had the same problem with the headrest; it just wouldn’t insert all the way. Once I had it assembled, sans the footrest and headrest, I couldn’t get it level. No matter what setting I adjusted the seat and backrest to, there was simply no way to get them to a perfectly flat configuration. You can see a couple of my photos where a bubble level shows that the angles are just wrong where the bench is supposed to be perfectly flat. It was only usable as an incline or decline bench and not as a flat bench. The included resistance band is a bit pointless, since it only offers one resistance level, but if you have nothing else to work with, at least it’s something. I also don’t see the point of the lumbar support. Proper workout form shouldn’t require that. There’s a reason you don’t see those on professionally made gym benches. I wish they would have eliminated the silly resistance band and lumbar support to save a bit of money, and use that savings toward improving the quality of the bench. All in all, this bench was a huge disappointment. ... show more
