For reference; I have a combo of 3B/3C low porosity hair in pretty good condition. The summer heat is drying my curls out/ causing some brittleness and I was looking for a deep conditioner without proteins (or coconut oil) for some added moisture. I REALLY wanted to like this product because of the price. I got the 8 oz container, and while it’s not the most expensive product I’ve ever purchased, I was not impressed with the quality considering the price tag. The jar is cheap, malleable plastic, which isn’t a huge deal but did make me sad lol. First impression upon opening the jar was the intense floral scent. I’m not a fan of heavily fragranced products in the first place, but the scent profile on this one was sharp. The consistency also left a lot to be desired, rubbing it between my fingers I found it was on the “stickier” side, not the buttery or smooth feel I was hoping for in a moisturizing product. Separating my fingers created small peaks or strings that would snap. I started on freshly clarified/ washed hair. Biggest disappointment about this product was the fact it doesn’t have any slip. This made it very difficult to work into my hair as I had to use a LOT of product, and adding water did not aid much in distributing it through the strands. Running my fingers/ comb through my hair with the product in also made me nervous because it did not smooth it at all and created snags/frizz…. Yikes. I let it sit for 30 minutes as instructed and rinsed it out. I was surprised after rinsing - to give it credit my hair did feel a bit moisturized (but not nearly as much as I was hoping for). It had a small amount of softness/ shine and my curls were naturally clumping together alright. However there was still way too much dryness that left frizz. I finished my routine with my regular leave in products and let my hair air dry for the rest of the day (please note my everyday leave in conditioner was more moisturizing than this product LOL). Sadly, my hair didn’t feel any more moisturized than it had before I used this product, with the only difference being I now smell like the perfume section of a department store lmao. Even though I was able to feel a slight improvement immediately after rinsing, it did not make enough impact in the long run to justify this purchase. I have wavy, fine hair that's also pretty thick. This conditioner did weigh down my hair a bit, but it did feel far healthier after the deep conditioning. This is a very small amount for the money, be warned, but it does deep condition. The smell is alright, a touch too sweet for my tastes, but not bad by any means. Use this conditioner and rinse. Then use your favorite leave in styling product. "Hold Me Softly" for nice looking waves or the "In-Shower Style Fixer" for a curly hold.

I was disappointed when I received this item, because of the size. It is comparable to a travel size item. I tried it anyway because my hair was super dry. It really did help. I am debating on whether to get it again because of the size of the container. Pretty pricey.

My curls definitely struggle with frizz and dryness. This has been great to use every few days to Quebec my curls. It is a pretty thick consistency and covers a lot of my hair with a small amount.
