I bought this to replace what had been another in the long line of $30 toaster ovens I had bought that died inglorious deaths or had become completely ineffective in their jobs. While this does not match what I had dreamed up as my "dream" toaster oven, this is still far and away the best one I've ever owned. The good points: -It heats up and toasts incredibly fast. -It is incredibly easy to keep clean. -The included baking sheet is capable of holding more than one item at a time. -Functions well as a small oven if you need that in your space. The bad points: -The control knobs are plastic, not metal, which is a bit confusing to me as it didn't look that way in the photos. -There is no built in timer that you can control, nor an "Always On" function. The timer is set based on the doneness knob for toast/bagel settings. There is no timer set for the bake or broil feature, however. Gripes aside, this is still the best toaster oven that I have ever owned, and I suspect that will hold for you as well. ... show more

Cuisinart TOB-1010 Toaster Oven Broiler. This is the best compact toaster oven we have ever had. Many other smaller toaster ovens have only 2 heating elements. This model has 4. As a result,, it toasts more evenly and more quickly. It is just an inch wider and deeper than the one we replaced, but it's inside capacity is big enough to hold 3 regular slices of bread or an 11" pizza. It worked great for toasting, baking and for re-heating left-overs. The oven is very easy to use. Markings are printed on the knobs and are easy to read. The crumb tray is very easy to remove and clean. When the door is opened, the rack slides out a few inches, which makes it convenient to pick up food without having to reach so far inside the oven. At the end of the timer cycle, the oven gives a single, gentle "beep". ... show more

Over the years I have had a few toaster/ovens, Most only had 1 heating element on top and bottom, this unit has 2 on top and bottom. Cooks much faster and more even. I will admit this is more than 2x what I have previously paid. Well worth the extra $$ for this unit. Does not take up a lot of counter space and cleans up well. ... show more

    • Almost as Good as my Old Cuisinart
When my old Cuisinart Toaster Oven died I panicked not knowing if I would be able to find a comparable replacement. While this is similar to my old one it is narrower and longer. However, I was able to toast 4 large slices of bread evenly. Very easy to clean. My old one left a lot of crumbs under the tray but the design on this model prevents that. It heats up quickly, medium setting toast is perfect, but light setting is usually more like warm bread. I usually toast it a few seconds longer back on light. I haven only had this for a couple of months and have used it for sausages and garlic bread. One criticism is that it does not come with w regular broiler pan as did a previous model. When I was baking pork tenderloin it began to smoke because the juices were not beneath the rack. That is a definite shortcoming. But it has many settings that make it versatile. This stainless steel Cuisinart toaster oven is compact and it does the job! The knob controls and push button starter makes it easy to use. The best part for me is the toasting options! I am able to control the level of toasting that I prefer (Which is slightly toasted)! The racks are interchangeable and fairly easy to clean! Reheating or cooking in it is also a pleasure! Just be mindful because the pan is not that deep and spillage may occur. The bell/chime is loud enough to hear, since I often walk away while multi-tasking. BTW...The unit does release smoke from the front but it dissipates after a while. It took me a while to get used to that and after monitoring it, I felt more comfortable using this kitchen appliance. Thus was a great purchase and obviously I am SATISFIED! ... show more
