We just bought this oven and have been testing it out. There is a slight learning curve as with everything. The oven gets hot and cooks pizza awesome. We have not yet tried anything but pizza yet. Honestly the neapolitan rocks. Pros- gets nice and hot, cooking time short, thought it cooks fairly even without spinning pizza. All controls worked fine. Nice bright light inside. Cons- the pizza peel is terrible and takes a decent amount of flour to get it to a point it will slide off, which is a must. Tried corneal and that's a little more messy. Cleaning out kind of a pain, should come with a brush and scraper. Takes awhile to heat up and can be loud but not terrible and that honestly didn't really bother me Tips- we have not mastered thin crust. But neapolitan we are close. I discovered that i don't love crust made with any oil, it's better with just flour,salt, water and yeast. Our crust was good but we are perfecting and will get even better, just need a few more test runs. We like putting fresh mozzarella on after it bakes to avoid water. Some toppings should be somewhat pre cooked due to short cook time and water content reduction. All and all, we would recommend it even though a little more expensive. You get what you pay for and this oven did not disappoint over all. Gave only 4 rating for pizza peel and cleaning with no cleaning tips or brushes provided. ... show more

Cuisinart Indoor Pizza Oven, Portable Countertop Pizza Oven that Bakes 12" Pizzas in Minutes, Stainless Steel, CPZ-120 Homemade pizza can be so easy to create, but getting it to cook the way we like it has been impossible. Our kitchen oven just can’t get hot enough. The outdoor grill produced decent results, but it meant going in and out of the house and negotiating steps without dropping anything, and it couldn’t be used in inclement weather. When I came across this Cuisinart Indoor Pizza Oven, I realized that it was going to change how we make pizza and eliminate the need to go out and buy pizza when grilling isn’t possible. The fact that the oven is manufactured by a company known for its quality products added to my excitement. The pizza oven is ready to use right out of the box. It’s small enough to fit perfectly on our industrial food cart as it is designed to make smaller 12” pizzas. The oven has a crumb tray and came with a square pizza stone, a deep dish pan, and a stainless steel pizza peel with a folding handle for easy storage. The controls are pretty straightforward, you just turn the dial to your desired temperature and the oven immediately starts to preheat. I didn’t time how long that took, but it seemed less than the 30 minutes stated in the description. There is also a timer if you want to use one. With a clear glass window, you can easily see when your pizza is done. There is an audible sound when your oven is finished preheating as well as when the timer runs down. The oven does not turn off automatically when the time runs down. It will only turn off automatically if it is on continuously for two hours. You need to manually turn it off, using the temperature selection dial. Do not unplug your oven when you are finished using it. The oven needs to remain plugged in after you turn it off, in order for the fans to cool it down. The instruction booklet is easy to follow and includes many recipes for different styles of pizza, pizza dough, sauce, pesto and a few other items that you can make in the oven. We were quite pleased with our first pizza that we made in the oven. With a temperature range of 350F-700F, our pizza cooked in just 6 minutes. It seemed to take only a bit longer for us to eat it! There are only a few minor issues that I have with this item. The fans are a bit on the noisy side, although not much louder than the quick bake fan in our regular oven. It seemed to take a long time for the oven to cool down after turning it off and the fans run while it cools. I discovered that it helped to remove the hot stone from the oven to get it to cool faster. I found that the dough was sticking to the stainless steel peel more that it does with my wooden peel. The instructions recommend using flour on the peel to keep the dough from sticking, but that did not help. With my wooden peel, I use coarse cornmeal to keep the dough from sticking, and that might work better than flour. Neither of those issues are deal breakers. The one thing that I really dislike is that there is no way to cancel the timer if you set the wrong time or want to adjust it. I accidentally set it for 60 minutes instead of 6. The only way to adjust your time is to add or subtract one minute at a time. Even when holding the button down to make it run more quickly doesn’t help if you have to go from 60 minutes to 6 minutes one second at a time! I did check with the company and they confirmed that there is no cancellation option. I’m just going to use a different timer the next time I make pizza, because I have every intention of using this oven at least once a week and maybe even more. I definitely recommend this pizza oven. It might seem expensive, but if you add up the cost of purchasing pizza from a restaurant as opposed to making your own, you can see how this product will eventually pay for itself. ... show more

I was so excited to order this pizza oven! We've wanted one for a long time because we love pizza but also it's a great to have when entertaining. Everyone build their own pizza and best of all it cooks in just a few minutes. For our first use, we ordered pre-made pizza dough from our local store. It was also miniature size dough - about 6 inches. We followed the easy-to-use instructions of preheating the included pizza stone in the oven at 700 degrees for 30 minutes to preheat the stone. Then we put flour on the peel (that comes with the set) and added pizza toppings. We slipped it into the oven from the peel and guidelines for a thin pizza is 5 minutes. Our dough was thin and small - so it was done closer to 4-4 1/2 minutes. That was so fast - and it was delicious! Having an oven that can heat to 700 degrees and cook a pizza in just a few minutes is great for entertaining! We are very happy with this pizza oven and already inviting friends over to try it! It's really great that everything is included to make the pizza - the oven, the pizza stone, the peel and a deep-dish pizza pan. And there are a ton of recipes included in the included booklet. And those recipes include flour, gluten free and cauliflower dough and instructions on how to cook each. Lots of delicious pizza to try in our future! ... show more

We have tried almost every method to get great pizza at home. Super hot conventional oven. Grilling with a pizza stone. But it was always just a bit off. So we caved and picked up this model because it boasted the most important thing to baking a great pizza, consistent high heat. The first night we made it a family affair, letting the kids top their own 12" pizza and telling them they could watch through the window. Like an idiot, I even made the potential mistake of telling them, "Hey, this should be done in just about 5 minutes. WELP, it lived up to the hype. The consistency of the dough was perfect NY Style, right down to the flakey little air pockets. The toppings were the right level of crispy and the cheese had the right amount of brown dots that let you know that this pizza was made the right way. AND IT WAS ACTUALLY DONE IN 5:00! DAD WIN! If you're really going to get into making pizza at home, short of building a wood-fired pizza oven in the backyard, this is absolutely the way to go! ... show more
