Description

Since 1900 in Salon-de-Provence, Marius Fabre has been making soap that is cooked in a cauldron to traditional Marseilles soap-making methods. Made from 72% pure vegetable oils including olive oil, the Marseilles olive oil soap cube is particularly gentle on the skin and on the environment. The traditional Marseilles soap manufacturing process is a guarantee of "Extra Pure" soap that is entirely free of impurities. It is gentle on all types of skin, even the most sensitive ones (babies, people with allergies, etc.).

The Marius Fabre is the best soap of this kind I have ever used. I use it as a body wash and shampoo! Please let me take a moment to brag on this soap. I have been using this bar/block of soap for nearly a month. This is a very old recipe that still works wonderfully today and is Eco friendly and bio degradable. I use it as a single all around soap and the manufacturer says you can use it for laundry and even as toothpaste as well. My results from using Marius Fabre soap as body wash and shampoo are satisfying. My scalp isn't dried out, my hair isn't stripped and this soap really suds up like a regular shampoo (I rub the block directly onto my hair). It's better than Tea Tree shampoo so no itchy scalp and dandruff. I actually feel like my hair is healthier having used Marius Fabre Marseille soap than not having used it, and the same is true as a body wash. Hey, I feel clean and this (olive) vegetable based soap beats goat's milk soap for cleaning by miles and miles. The fragrance of Marius Fabre Marseille is a strong Olive smell. It is potent at first, but the smell fades. The smell actually reminds me of a WW2 aircraft carrier ship Lol. So for guys it's really perfect i think. I really recommend also using a soap bar drying tray along with this soap and letting it dry outside of the shower or bathtub in-between showers so it doesn't melt and you don't waste your good money. I love this soap. This is a soap that is good for you and is environmentally friendly. I really cannot find anything to fault this soap with. What you put down the drain and into the earth and water supply does matter, and choosing Marius Fabre Marseille soap for your needs is a responsible choice. ... show more

    • It’s supposed to smell like that.
I was concerned when I first opened it and all I could smell was rubber. Once it’s dampened, the smell’s not as strong and on skin it’s very mild and slightly earthy. I can see it growing on me. Now the main reason I bought this is because I have chronically dry skin and we’re approach the time of year where I’m doomed to discomfort. Someone recommended this on a natural skincare website and It only took one shower for me to realize I’d stumbled to something magnificent. My skin is honestly softer and more moisturized than it feels after putting on some lotions. Smells very strongly of gasoline. I can’t help but think that this is not what it is supposed to smell like, and I am definitely not going to use it. Even just handling the soap makes my hands smell like gasoline.

    • Cleans Enameled Cast Iron Beautifully
I bought this during coronavirus quarantine because dish soap was hard to come by but I was actually blown away by how well it works on enameled pots. Normally over time the enamel starts to darken and it takes a fair amount of elbow grease to bring it back but the first time I used this soap on one of my pots it just rinsed right clean.
