This product is so easy to use. (400 degrees) Just follow the directions, which you will need a magnifying glass for, and IF you stick to the directions the results will be guaranteed. This is genuinely great oil for your cast iron stuff! Pros: 1.) It coats well and is very smooth. 2.) Low to no odor. 3.) It has a high smoke point, so it won’t fill up your kitchen with oily smoke! 4.) Easy to hold bottle; it’s small enough to easily use one handed, without risking dropping a massive bottle of oil, especially after using it. Cons: 1.) The cap design is horrendous. Its wide mouthed and open, which causes the oil to spill out all over the cap and down the bottle. It’s a slight waste and you have to clean the bottle up every time. Not the first time a big mouth has gotten me in trouble… Other than that, it’s good stuff and top notch! ... show more

I bought it for maintenance of my own 15 inch cast iron skillet that I inherited from my mother in-law. I took it to church and used it on on of their ver neglected cast iron skillets and it restored it besutifully.
