  • Time Saving Connector
If you have the charger then this is an excellent accessory. The charger itself comes with 2 attaching cables (one hard wired & one alligator clamp), however, the built in battery status lights is a great plus. I have purchased an additional one to put on my second vehicle for ease of moving the charger between cars and always having the battery status indicator connected to the vehicles. ... show more

  • Perfect addition for two car garage
With this dongle I can switch between my two cars to keep the batteries topped up for charge. I installed this on my vintage Jaguar and left it charging overnight, the battery came to full charge. Great addition to your CTEK charger.

  • Power consumption and color thresholds
I was interested in what the current draw of this unit is, and I wanted to know what the thresholds were for the colors. I set this up with a variable DC supply and a Fluke 8060 and a Fluke 83 to measure the current and voltage. Ambient temp about 60F, and the Ctek was purchased March 2022. 3v Faint red glow 650uA 3.5v Faint flashing red 680uA spikes to 730uA 4.3v Bright flashing red 740uA spikes to 850uA 12.39v Flashing red 1.21mA spikes to 1.9mA 12.40v Flashing yellow 12.63v Flashing yellow 1.22mA spikes to 1.9mA 12.64v Flashing green 14.0v Flashing green 1.32mA The momentary current spikes were very hard to read due to the quickness of the spikes and the slow nature of the digital meter, I would take the spike current measurements with low confidence. There appeared to be no hysteresis, i.e. the thresholds were the same whether the voltage was rising or falling. I did this same test on a Ctek 56-564 Comfort Indicator Pigtail and the thresholds and currents were virtually identical. Two questions, what do you think of the current draw and what do you think of the thresholds? For the draw, if the Ctek Indicator is on a battery that is used regularly or is left on a maintainer then there is no concern, but this isn't very useful in that application. More likely you'd use this device on a piece of equipment that sits for extended periods and you'd monitor the color to get a sense of when the battery needs a maintainer. 1.2mA over the timespan of a month is about 0.86 Amp-Hours, probably not much of a consideration on a full size (car) battery but maybe significant on a smaller battery such as you'd find in a powersports application. As for the colors, I was a bit surprised by the green threshold being as high as it is. I've always thought of 12.6v as being about 100% charged, so now I'm a little less concerned when I see yellow instead of green. If you found this Helpful I'd appreciate a click - thanks. ... show more

  • Nice attachment.
Works as advertised; I love this add on because it adds a visual to the battery life. When the bikes been sitting without being on charge. The color will change from green to orange to red. Makes it easy to know you have to charge or your battery is going bad.

  • Battery Leads Review
This lead/pigtail is a quality accessory item to a great, above average charger. Would definitely purchase again

  • has a blinking light.
would have given 5 stars, but there is a blinking light on the plug. I didn't realize. So when unplugged from the charger, it still blinks giving you an indicator of battery charge level. Only problem is I tend to leave the car sitting away from home and don't have it plugged in during that time. Having another draw seems like a bad idea. I pulled the fuse to stop it, so not a deal breaker, but didn't like that feature. ... show more

  • Great way to be sure battery has a charge
Well built, easy to install and use with Ctek brand chargers. My wife and I don't drive our cars very often, sometimes 2 or more weeks between trips since online delivery and work-at-home are now our way of life. Problem was that newer vehicles really run down the battery, even while sitting in garage. Twice we had dead batteries (ouch!) and I was getting tired of opening hoods to check voltage, put on the charging clamps, removing and closing hood - etc. Solution was to install these connector+monitors on each vehicle. I extended the wires so the connector+monitor end comes out close to windshield - thus no need to open the hood for charging, and I can see the monitoring LEDs just by walking into the garage. I leave the newest vehicle plugged in 90% of the time, only unplugging it when the 2nd car shows "charge level Yellow" and thus needs a top-up charge. Charger is hung from ceiling, with cord easily moved from Vehicle A to Vehicle B. Real time saver, no dead batteries, and no worries about whether I got the hood properly latched each week. ... show more
