Got this for my daughter for Easter and it’s exactly the look she was going for, but as far as functionality goes, it’s definitely lacking. Each record we play rubs on the opened lid of the record player. At first I thought the records were warped, but as you can see in the photo, there’s not enough clearance between the vinyl and the opened lid. I saw too many bad reviews about this products, about the speed, drawing the speed and it is hard to set the correct speed, let me tell you that i have the same issue but i found the problem and i feel stupid after i found what the problem was, if the door is left open 90 degree the LP will rub agains the door and is really hard to tune the right speed, when i left the door hang all the way open the gap between the LP and the door clear and the sound is just perfect and easy to adjust, sent this device to my dad over in Colombia and he is extremely happy with it, plug the audio to an amplifier and we dance all night to the sound of the old collection of LPs that my dad kept for all this years. I'll buy one more for my friends to enjoy the sound of the old music. ... show more

The amount of hate for this product on the internet is unreal. You have the audiophiles saying it sounds awful and privileged people saying to get some expensive turntable, with great sounding speakers, a preamp, and a million other things. Does the turntable have terrible built-in speakers? Yes, it does. Are there better turntables out there? Yes, obviously. If I could go out and spend hundreds of dollars on a turntable, I would. Unfortunately, I am unable to do that. I think this is a great starting point for people who are interested in vinyl and just wanted to get started with a little hobby. I also ordered diamond replacement needles, since I read that they are supposed to be better than the one that came preinstalled. (I originally thought there were some included in the box, but they weren't). Other than that, I think this is a steal for the price. ... show more

I bought this as a gift for my spouse & was in love with the look of this player. Reviews were mediocre, but since we planned to buy a nice one after moving, I wasn't as concerned - we just wanted something "ok" for now. And at this price, I thought what can I lose. I was wrong. This player is not ok. It's is adorable & reminds me of the one I had as a kid, but the good stops there. The sound is really terrible. There is distortion, cracking & even adjusting the pitch didn't help. My records sounded like they were playing on the wrong speed & it seemed to get worse w/ time. I didn't expect a $400 table, but boy am I disappointed. Would not recommend. ... show more

I ended up returning this Crosley Cruiser record player and replaced it with an Audio Technica AT-LP120. After reading watching reviews online, I still wanted to give this a try, but realized most of the reviews are correct - this is a cool toy for teens, but if you value your vinyl (which you should, as you have spent money on them) whether you are a beginner or a serious collector, you shouldn't be putting your records at risk by playing them on these plastic albeit cool-looking toys. I recommend watching the YouTube video by "Vinyl Eyezz" called "Record Player: Crosley - Top 5 Reasons NOT to Buy!" as he goes into detail much more effectively than I can. ... show more

Music is an important part of my life. Should I have bought this? No. Probably not. Are there better quality products out there? Sure, but this one works. It plays records. Does it sound great? Not exactly, but it functions. It plays records. Plus, it’s just so cute. I mean... come on. It’s made to travel. What can you expect? I’ve only taken mine for a couple of spins, and I’m not disappointed. Worth the money for the product, the appearance and the portability. If that’s what appeals to you, I’d say it’s perfect. If your easily annoyed by tinny sound quality, keep shopping. Only time will tell how durable it is. I purchased the extra warranty ‘cause why not? What’s a few more bucks? I was super excited to get this record player because i've heard good things about Crosley and I've always wanted a record player. It just came in today and I was ecstatic. However, to my disappointment, after following all the directions, the record player never started to spin. After some research, I decided to take the record player apart to see what's going wrong. After taking it apart I saw nothing wrong except for a screw broken off and this was supposably brand new. Must be some mistake in wiring since the record player band was intact, it just didn't spin. I will be talking with Amazon in seeing if i could get a replace for the same amount and no extra fee. This is a great gift or accessory for your home, I just suggest that you purchase a record player from a different seller and avoid the hassle. ... show more
