At first I bought the offbrand copy of this, the Byron Statics brand and it was horrible. Then I got this and the difference is night and day. The motor on the Byron Statics version is too weak to pull records at the correct speed and has no variable pitch adjustment dial, it had a bad axle that wobbled causing even worse pitch issues, and lastly it played one track much louder than the other; don't ever buy Byron Statics. But then I bought the Crosley CR8005F-FL because I heard good things about it and it is fantastic. This Crosley has a nice and powerful enough motor that evenly turns the record (even if some of the records are warped like mine), there is a pitch adjustment dial which every player needs, the mechanical and structural quality of the player is very nice especially for this price, and the sound is crisp and clear with no pitch or volume variance. I would definitely recommend Crosley (much higher quality than others I've seen/bought), especially over Byron Statics which was junk. As for issues I've seen others have: Never had any issues with the lid rubbing on the record, although I can see where it would if the lid had a hinge defect and couldn't open the full 90 degrees (mine had no such defects). The bluetooth in/out seems to work great but I think people are buying the bluetooth in model and then saying it doesn't have bluetooth out (the bluetooth in model doesn't do both like the bluetooth in/out model so it wouldn't have bluetooth out anyway). ... show more

I got this as a gift for my mom and I love the features. You can Bluetooth from your phone and play a record vinyl like a traditional record player which is really nice. We can play all those old records we've been hanging onto. It's pretty easy to use. Sounds good and a good travel size to move around if you want to. I absolutely love this. I only have 3 vinyl records right now but I will be in the store buying more to play. It sounds great. No the volume isn’t that loud but it has the Bluetooth capability;looking forward to that. The color is great for me-goes with my decor.

For the price, I didn't have high hopes for this record player. I'm pleasantly surprised at what I got! The record player is attractive, functional, and sounds great. I haven't played with the Bluetooth functions; the built-in speakers are clear and plenty loud enough that I haven't bothered with anything external. Despite its good performance, the construction was clearly conducted on a budget. Seams on the case are glued, and not stitched, and the components have a cheap feel to them, though their appearance is average. Still, everything functions well, and the features packed into the player are impressive. The lever to raise and lower the arm is great, and the needle is lowered soooo gently. The arm has a clasp that locks it in place for safe transport. The player features automatic stop at the end of the record, and the turntable itself is supported on a soft suspension, giving it the vintage version of skip protection. In addition to the Bluetooth functionality, there is a phono jack for headphones, and RCA jacks for connection to an external stereo system. Even if there was some expense spared in its construction, the player was clearly made by people who love and treasure records. My only criticism is that the player is powered by a DC wall adapter ("wall wart"). This is fine, but the adapter has no place for storage within the player, which makes porting it around less convenient. Had they built in a storage solution for this, or simply used and AC cord that would wrap up securely, this would have been an improvement. It's a small gripe, and one does not detract from enjoying the player. ... show more

Went and bought 2 brand new 40$ records to come home and play, played the first and it kept skipping. Opened 2nd to see if maybe it was the record and the second skipped also. Tried on my boyfriend’s records and it did the same . Now out more $ in records then what this record player is worth. Besides it ruining your vinyl the sound quality is also low. ... show more
