  • Good overall
Size: GA3650 Blower Fan Kit
Overall good. It is a bit noisy due to the vibration of it. Installation was self explanatory but it was hard to get placed. Although it was the same size as the fan it was replacing it was a very tight fit and some of the blade got bent installing. However, they were able to be bent back by hand once installed. ... show more

  • Slight minor Modifications to fit. Works Great!!
Size: GA3650 Blower Fan
The media could not be loaded. I own a Quadra-Fire Bodega Bay Wood Insert bought back in 2008 and used every winter. Finally the blower was screaming like a cat in heat, it was done, worn out. Found original replacement cost $450+!!!! Searched on line for exact measurements and this model fit the bill. ONLY problem I saw was the motor was on the other side of the blower. Selling for $35 I figured on taking a chance knowing well I may have to make fabrications. Well I did, very minor, drilling two new screw holes in the base bracket and flatten a lip on the base so it was flat on the wood stove, then running longer wires using proper connectors heat shrinks and small zip-ties. Bottom line the motor on the other side needed some extra room so I mounted it 1/2" closer to the front grill & the connectors I bent downward. It all fit PERFECT! Running wise...EXCELLENT!! Sound wise is very good, you can sit and have a normal conversation in the room with it running. Had I not needed any fabrications which I was well aware from the start this unit would be a simple install. Oh and and I got it in two days on Prime!! The box comes with sound deadening foam and no instructions. But buying this unit you need no instructions. It goes in as the old one goes out. And lastly I saved like $430 bucks!!!! I thinking on buying another as a spare down the road if ever needed. Cheap investment ... show more

  • Too loud
Size: GA3650 Blower Fan Kit
Even with all of the padding that sent with the vent, it is still extremely loud
Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2024 by Dress is true to size, and very soft. One downside is that the colors are really drab.

  • These blow a lot of air, but will never work
Size: GA3650 Blower Fan Kit
The Test of Our Fireplace The blower was a success, but the fireplace was a total failure. Here's why. These kinds of fireplaces are just for looks. The fire in the firebox is actually insulated from the inner metal casing of the firebox using insulating fireboard, much like insulating firebricks, so heat from the fire never gets to the metal, at least not in any quantity. So it doesn't help to have a better blower because there is very little heat transfer to the metal double shell of the firebox to begin with. The inner and outer shells around the firebox never get hot. So these double-shell fireboxes are a sham. Totally useless because the double shell is insulated from the fire. How I Intended to Use the Fireplace We save money by using a setback thermostat. In the winter, after 10 pm the HVAC turns off and the house cools down to 55°. In the morning, the HVAC turns on automatically to heat the house back up to 68-70 by 8 AM, (on at 68°, off at 70°). When the sun comes up, we open our insulating blinds to let the south facing sun come in. With solar gain, we usually don't have to run the HVAC during the day, unless it's cold and there's no sun. This way we keep our electric bill down to what a super-energy-efficient house would use, or oftentimes even better. That's pretty good for a double-wide that was designed for Georgia (we discovered later). I had hoped to use the fireplace to initially heat the house up instead of using the HVAC, but it didn't work at all. I couldn't bring the house up even 2°. That's how pitiful these modern built-in fireplaces are. They are so insulated that all the heat leaves the fire (at 800-900°) and goes straight up the chimney stovepipe, which is also insulated. Maybe it's for fire protection, but in any case, these types of fireplaces are only good for making s'mores :( I'm working on another plan to use the heat from the fire with a heat exchanger placed inside the firebox. I won't have time to build it this winter, so we're stuck with our existing methods of cost reduction. At least now we know that the fireplace is useless in emergencies, except to sit up close in front, with open glass doors to get some radiant heat. The problem is not the blower, the problem with these types of fireplaces is that fireboard surrounds the fire and insulates the metal from the fire. So the surrounding metal enclosure that surrounds the firebox NEVER gets hot. You can never get any worthwhile heat from these decorative fireplaces and the the glass doors keep any heat out of the room. The metal never gets how enough to transfer heat to the room. I my tests, with a roaring fire, I could only bring the room up 2°F from 55° to 57°. These fireplaces are for show only. Totally useless, no matter how good the blower is. ... show more

  • I didn't have an issue but I was prepared
Size: GA3650 Blower Fan Kit
Everything went smooth make sure you have room and are capable of making brackets to mount this. It does have a platebut that may not be in the correct position I can feel the air on max about 10ft away this moves the air nicely the noise is the fan cutting threw the air it's to be expected. Workes great easy to wire I had to change the ends because they were all matching all females no males. But a couple wire nuts and it was done ... show more
