  • Works great!

I have a very good experience with my Cricut. In the beginning I would struggle to get the hang of it but after that it is very easy to use. I like to make personal projects and also projects to sell. It connects great with my Ipad. If you like to craft. This is for you!

  • *knuckle crack* this is gonna be a long review.

I got this machine to make some custom signs for my wedding. As of this review I’ve been using it over a year and I’m so happy I decided to get it. I’ve made so many cards for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and other special events. I’ve used the engraving function to make custom reusable tags for my family’s holiday gifts. I’ve made stencils I used to paint on shoes I customized. I’ve cut washi tape, printer paper, construction paper, card stock of various weights, and overhead transparencies (and it does take some playing around to figure out the settings that are ideal for each specific material, but there are presets for most of these materials already). It’s so versatile. It cuts really well. The machine itself is nice to look at and is constructed really well. It stores away really quickly and easily if needed, but it’s a *little* heavy so do keep that in mind if this machine is going to a user that has some difficulty with lifting if they intend to pack it up and move it elsewhere to store it. This was the first cutting machine I’ve ever used and it was pretty easy to just jump right into, you’ll need a cutting mat (I recommend standard grip for most paper projects and most vinyl projects, I recommend lightgrip for light papers like copy paper or washi tape, and strong grip for engraving projects. I make a minimum of one card a month and I’ve made countless vinyls for my friends and family. I also have a scrapbook that I regularly make custom labels, designs and scraps for. It admittedly felt like a high price tag when I first considered purchasing, as I was doing most of my card work by hand with other tools before, but the improved quality I get from this machine and the TIME I SAVE is incredible. Special note to other card makers: No more stamps, you can digitally create your own designs the cricut can draw for you, or pick from a design someone else already made. No more diecutting. No more clutter from multiple different shape punches. No more scoring board. The possibilities with this thing are truly endless. ... show more

  • Unsure at first, but this thing is pretty awsome
Style: Maker 3
I bought this product to use for my small business. I have zero prior knowledge of cutting machines and figured this would be one of the better affordable options. I receive this fairly fast. I first made wedding invitations using the pen writing feature for a friend to test it out. It took me 4 hours to get this thing to outline 3 invitations because it wouldn't work properly ( I had it directly plugged into my laptop). So I automatically assumed it was broke because it was loading the paper, registering for a second, and freezing. My husband thought it was ridiculous to spend the money I did on this thing so I wasn't about to give up.... long story short. It was my laptops USB connector that is messed up and it wouldn't connect properly. I found this out when I connected it via Bluetooth and I have yet to have another issue. ATM I have had it for 3 weeks and have printed over 200 mini vinyl clothing labels and its worked great. I will warn you after several vinyl prints I noticed the upper right corner from inches 8 to 12 tend to not cut through as well, but overall it is a great product, quick to learn, and easy to use once you know what your doing. Would highly recommend. ... show more

  • Cuts fast, connects easier and feels heavier duty than the regular Maker.
Style: Maker 3
I purchased this about a month ago and it’s had a lot of use, it connects so much easier than my Cricut Maker, and it cuts noticeably faster. I am quite pleased and glad I made the choice to upgrade. I just wish Cricut didn’t charge an insane amount for Design Space. I use the free version but it makes it very difficult to do anything without their full access. ... show more

Be 100% SURE you know what you will be using this machine for. Cricket is notorious for being ambiguous in their marketing. For example if you want to create coffee mugs, if you do as I did and follow Cricket marketing you will end up with the following bill. - Cricket mug press $200 - Cricket Circuit $400 - Cricket unfusable ink sheets $8 - Cricket mug blanks (6 pack) $20 Then I realized I needed THIS. - Sublimation ink $30 - Sublimation paper $20 - Epson Ecotank Printer $300 Get the cheapest model (if you really need it). The only useful thing the Circuit 3 did for me was quietly cut paper. Pros - nice looking product - precision paper cutter - quiet Cons - software is terrible - requires expensive proprietary cricket products I've found the Cricket Circuit 3 is not useful for my creative needs. Maybe if you made stickers this could be useful. ... show more

  • It works good but closed system

Hardware works great. Software is not great, but has gotten better with updates. I Personally I would prefer an open interface I can drive this with from my CAD/CAM software. The software was clearly designed for a non computer person and it shows in lacking features, common interface expectations and all the ridiculous cloud upsell garbage in your face all the time. The hardware is well designed and reliable, no issues at all. In retrospect I would find another brand that has an open interface, but it is getting the job done so it gets 4 stars. When I imported from my other software the scaling was wrong in the cricut software. Recent update has fixed that making my life way easier. The constant trying to force me into print/cut mode is a nuisance that I have figured out how to mitigate. If you just want to cut vinyl and know nothing else, go for it. If you are an advanced user, do some more research. ... show more
