The card mat was the reason I purchased my Cricut Joy. At the time, it was the only machine that had a card mat. I liked the idea of being able to create a card without having to stick the whole card to the mat. This card mat has a slot in it so that the other half of the card can slip underneath the sticky part. This allows you to create cards with cut outs and inked drawings/words on both the inside and outside without having to experiment with aligning the designs to the card size. My biggest complaint about the card mat is that it wears out fast due to its size. Because it feeds only one direction, you cannot move the paper around and the stick loses tack fast. I purchased this with a bundle. This was a great addition to have in the bundle. Only down side is that this bundle came in many shipments. Which was a little inconvenient. But this was an excellent bundle for starting out with the circuit joy.

This card mat is really useful with Cricut cards. Plus, you can make multiple at once. The biggest downside is it’s a little too sticky at first, and can rip the paper on accident. It’s also a little confusing how the sizing/fitting the cards works, I’d recommend looking up some YouTube videos to learn the basics of this mat.
