After beginning the 3d printing hobby with some cheaper machines, (the kind that need much more tinkering and maintenance I am please that this just works and works well. With a little review of the manual, a complete novice should be able to make good-to-great prints. As they get into it. the machine is advanced enough to allow tinkering with the settings, upgrade some features, and change the software, if they want to do that. Or not. I purchased this printer in early October on deep sale. It has become known as the metaphorical worker that gets paid to look pretty, while all the other printers work circles around it. It is mostly always broken or clogged. This printer is intentionally hobbled by the maker unless you buy a monthly service or 3rd party control is needed however, there is no support for this device like the other K1 printers. The search for why leads to a strange question of who made this printer and from what parts, am beyond frustrated with this machine and have attempted to troubleshoot it SO MANY TIMES. This doesn't include the door, sides, or top panel. It's not enclosed. I don't see anywhere they can be purchased either. I didn't realize that the pre-assembled version would be incomplete.

The first one I ordered took a week to arrive and during testing it was revealed that the motherboard fan was bad. I opened it up and confirmed the fan was in fact not working. So I had to box it all up and send it back. Its going to take another week for the replacement to arrive. Second chances anyone? ... show more
