I am taking the time to write this review because this is a great product and a major time saver for my wood products. I have used this on making plantar boxes and some green bean trellis and will be soon working on others. In general, this is all 1 inch to 1 inch or smaller material, (only used up to 1 1/2 nails or smaller and it works amazing. No more bent nails, etc. The only things I would mention (not that big a deal to me) with the one I purchased, is to watch the nails, when they get down to the end, the last couple shoot off mark, probably not enough pressure when the nails get that low, like 5 or less. The only other thing is that it gets a little heavy if you are using it for a longer period of time. ... show more

I bought this to do some trim work after finishing the floors. this works great without being loud as loud noises really stresses our dogs. with this, I didn't have to compromise power for silence. I ended up doing board and batton with this, no problem.

    • Works great except for one thing… no toenailing.
While I haven’t used it extensively, the nailer has worked very well and I’m not sure what the all the complaints are about. I used it to install new baseboards around two rooms and it was a huge time saver. The nail holes are so small I won’t have to fill them. I have noticed you need to hold the nailer square to the work piece to get it to operate. Even a slight angle will cause it to misfire and you’ll get the blinking light that indicates a jam when there isn’t really a jam and there’s nothing to clear. This is unfortunate since there are times when I’d like to “toenail” and drive the nail in at an angle. ... show more

Why I picked this nailer over the plethora of options: 1) The Craftsman name, vs, an unknown 2) Options locally for other Craftsman cordless tools 3) Price. Very important 4) Lightweight. Very important! I wanted to be able to lift this overhead repeatedly. And I want my wife to be able to use it. 5) Safety features 6) Easy depth adjustments 7) Easy cleanout of jams (of which I've had none so far) 8) Availability of additional compatible batteries After a couple projects I'm very pleased with this. Would be nice if it had stapler options but that wasn't necessary. Glad I bought this, and am now looking at cordless Craftsman hedge trimmers. ... show more

Bought new house and builder installs wire shelving vs wood in pantry and linen closet. My husband got some plywood and built shelf covers, using this for nailing. Worked well. No need to rush so no jams. Used some caulk over nails, sanded and painted. Pleased with nail gun. He got extra battery.
