Bought new house and builder installs wire shelving vs wood in pantry and linen closet. My husband got some plywood and built shelf covers, using this for nailing. Worked well. No need to rush so no jams. Used some caulk over nails, sanded and painted. Pleased with nail gun. He got extra battery.

I am taking the time to write this review because this is a great product and a major time saver for my wood products. I have used this on making plantar boxes and some green bean trellis and will be soon working on others. In general, this is all 1 inch to 1 inch or smaller material, (only used up to 1 1/2 nails or smaller and it works amazing. No more bent nails, etc. The only things I would mention (not that big a deal to me) with the one I purchased, is to watch the nails, when they get down to the end, the last couple shoot off mark, probably not enough pressure when the nails get that low, like 5 or less. The only other thing is that it gets a little heavy if you are using it for a longer period of time. ... show more

I am a fan of Craftsman tools. I have a pneumatic brad nailer but hate the noise. But I was afraid a batter operated tool would not have the necessary power. But decided to splurge and get this since I have multiple projects on my to do list. I wish purchased this instead of my pneumatic 4 piece set. The convenience is worth it!!! No tube or noise! Why I picked this nailer over the plethora of options: 1) The Craftsman name, vs, an unknown 2) Options locally for other Craftsman cordless tools 3) Price. Very important 4) Lightweight. Very important! I wanted to be able to lift this overhead repeatedly. And I want my wife to be able to use it. 5) Safety features 6) Easy depth adjustments 7) Easy cleanout of jams (of which I've had none so far) 8) Availability of additional compatible batteries After a couple projects I'm very pleased with this. While I haven’t used it extensively, the nailer has worked very well and I’m not sure what the all the complaints are about. I used it to install new baseboards around two rooms and it was a huge time saver. The nail holes are so small I won’t have to fill them. I have noticed you need to hold the nailer square to the work piece to get it to operate. Even a slight angle will cause it to misfire and you’ll get the blinking light that indicates a jam when there isn’t really a jam and there’s nothing to clear. This is unfortunate since there are times when I’d like to “toenail” and drive the nail in at an angle. ... show more

So, the covenant between myself and my wife, is that if she wants a project done, I get the tool(s) required for the project. I did a bunch of research and watched a lot of reviews and pulled the trigger on this brad nailer. It was not at the top of the reviews but neither was it at the bottom and had a good price point relative to similar BN's . Full disclosure, one of the deciding factors was that it shared batteries with my cordless drill. I am a competent DYI'er but not a professional so I don't feel the need to break the bank on tools that will only b used occasionally. I was putting in a pine ceiling and faux beams in my living room and easily went through 1500 brad nails without any issues. I used it to attach pine shiplap to the drywall ceiling as well as in the construction of the faux beams and mantel. I am quite satisfied with this purchase and the job it did at the price I paid. I now have a nice new ceiling and another tool in the garage. I am looking forward to more projects. ... show more
