The best time to purchase these batteries is when on sale. I bought these when it was over 50 percent off. My current Craftsman doesn't use these types of batteries, but I did buy them for my Craftsman portable air pump. Although the pump can run off of electricity or a car charger, using the batteries is nice. I tested it on my car and topped off all my tires using this battery. Each tire probably used about 2-4 minutes of run time. It didn't fail me at all. My cheapo battery-powered air pump would have failed after a couple of tires. In all, this is a nice addition to your Craftsman tools. I will eventually buy a drill that will use the V20 lineup. As I mentioned, buy these when on sale to make it worth it. ... show more

$15 less than the sale price at the national “red” and the national “blue” hardware stores that carry Craftsman. Arrived low on charge, but charged right up in minutes. This is only a 2 amp hour battery, but that’s what I wanted. I am an occasional home user, and only drill a few holes or make a small number of cuts at a time; so I wanted the smallest/lightest battery possible. I am so pleased with my purchase of the tire inflator and battery back up. I am a single woman and hate putting air in my tires at the gas station however now I don't have to worry about having to do that anymore. It is very simple to use and it does not take too much time to get your tire inflated.
