  • Great value
Style: 159cc Engine
I’ve owned plenty of mowers throughout my life, this one is pretty darn good. If you’re used to the craftsman line of mowers, not much is changed although the overall quality is a little less than you’re used to from 40 years ago but hey that’s life. Assembly wasn’t too bad just follow the instructions I think it took me like 20 minutes. As far as the power goes I have been using a little 12 inch electric mower because my yard is not that large. But if I let the grass get to high electric mower wouldn’t do it. This mower is very very very easy to start and it went through some 8 inch grass and bagged it pretty well. I would totally recommend this one especially with self-propelled feature because it is a little heavy but maneuvers very well Because of the large wheel in the back ... show more

  • Fantastic mower, love it!
Style: 159cc Engine
Great mower! I had to replace my previous Craftsman mower that was about 20 years old and finally died. I read reviews of the Craftsman mowers Lowe's sells and they were not good, so I went with a Toro. Big mistake, used it once and returned it - had no power and a horrible bag. Then I looked on Amazon and found this model Craftsman which oddly wasn't sold at Lowe's. Extremely happy I bought this, its really a modern version of my old one with several improvements. It has plenty of power and I absolutely love that you can control the speed. My yard has a slight slop and even going up hill I never have it going as fast as it could. The bag is also great, pretty much the same as my old one but seats in place much easier. Starts first pull. Only minor complaints. The owners manual is written for like 3-4 different models and none of the pictures seemed to completely match mine which made setting up take a bit longer but still was easy. And the cords that hook up to the handle for the drive train and engine shut off are just zip tied in place, clips would have been nice that I see come with some models. I guess I'll have to buy those separately. I know everything "craftsman" today doesn't always live up to the name, but this mower sure does. Also love that's its made in the USA. Plus Amazon delivered it super quick, didn't expect that for something like a mower. This might just last another 20 years! ... show more

  • Great mower
Style: 159cc Engine
I love this mower. It was easy to assemble and mows great! Disclaimer...shipping was a beast. First mower we received was warped/crooked and not usable. The return was easy and the second mower came box damaged and parts missing for the handles. Luckily the original mower handles were fine so we "borrowed" what we needed to use second mower. • Great Lawn Mower
Style: 159cc Engine
I got this lawn mower as a replacement for an 11 year old Craftsman mower, and I am extremely pleased with it. It arrived in a sturdy box, so it was well-protected during shipping. The minimal assembly/setup was easy and required no tools. It could all be done by hand. They included everything needed except gasoline. It is lighter-weight than my previous Craftsman mower, and also quieter, but still equally powerful, or possibly more powerful. It starts very easily. The grass height adjustment settings are very easy to adjust. And the self-propel feature does work really well. I have a very uneven property, and the self-propel feature has worked great, and I find it very helpful. Also the black covering across the front is a sort of bumper, so if it bumps a tree or stone, it just gently bumps the mower backward, and doesn't jolt the mower horribly. And most importantly, it cuts the grass really well and evenly. This is a great mower, I'm very pleased with it, and all of it's features work really well. ... show more

  • Yippy Ki Yay
Style: 159cc Engine
This mower changed my life. It's my first self propelled, and I thought it might assist a little. But it pulls me along for the ride. I just let it, and laugh at my neighbors with their push mowers. I laugh, and I laugh. Then I laugh some more. Then they look at me. So I stop and go back to focusing on what I'm doing. Everything else it great. I can mow my lawn in half the time, and it's twice as easy. My only complaint is that it's so easy, I've having a hard time acting like it's really hard in front of my wife. I rely on the, "Yeah? Well I mowed the lawn" thing to get me out of doing a lot of the other work around the house. ... show more

  • Smooth running, grass mowing machine.
Style: 159cc Engine
The Craftsman M215 came well package and was easy to get ready. The M215 started on the second pull after adding the oil that is shipped with the mower, and filling with gas. The self propel feature made for easy walking, and this mower cuts grass, weeds like a grass/weeds eating machine. I did a lot of research before buying the Craftsman M215, and after using it a few times all ready, I couldn't be happier. I see a good future with this machine, and can only pray it last as long as my last Craftsman, which went on for 10+ years. ... show more

  • All in all pretty good.
Style: 159cc Engine
I guess I'm in the minority, but despite the fact I've put together literally hundreds of items, I had a tough time assembling this. The pictures were of little use, and when I finally figured what to do, I didn't say to myself, oh that was dumb of you. It was just wasn't sensible. That said, the mower runs great, but I have two issues. First, the front wheel drive takes some getting used to, and when you are making a sharp turn, like to go back on a row, you need to watch the wheels and kind of lift them or they start to tear up the turf. My Toro had rear wheel drive-much better. And the bag is pretty small, and not easy to get back tight on the unit so that clippings don't start flying around out of the top. I'm a little worried how it will be in two or three years when the bag starts to wear out. But it has good power, and I can walk at a good clip(haha). It mulches very well, and I can go through a pile of leaves without it clogging and stopping. I like that you can let go of the transmission so that the wheels stop, but the blade keeps spinning unless you let go of the throttle bar. Seems pretty well built but we all know that's up in the air for a couple of years. ... show more
