The Craftsman® Universal Power Sprayer is a consumer friendly sprayer that is effortless to use and eliminates pumping. The power wand is perfect to use for weed control, insect control and cleaning applications. The power wand is operational right out of the carton, no assembly required. The Craftsman Universal Power Sprayer comes standard with a patented dip-tube that fits on any standard 38mm ready-to-use refill bottle. Pumping days are over! The Craftsman Universal Power Sprayer is lightweight, durable and powered by 4-AA included batteries which will deliver up to 60 minutes of run-time. The convenient battery compartment built into the handle makes it quick and easy to replace 4-AA batteries. The integrated adjustable nozzle allows the customer to easily set the desired spray pattern from stream to cone in seconds. In stream mode the unit can spray up to ~20'. At the heart of the Craftsman Universal Power Sprayer is the specially designed 4.5V lightweight robust DC motor and specially designed chemical resilient gear pump. This motor-pump design is optimized to provide optimum performance in the wee, insect and cleaning applications. The Craftsman Universal Power Sprayer comes with an integrated locking trigger that allows the end-user to lock the sprayer "on" or squeeze on-demand depending on the application. In addition, the tool is smartly designed to fold into the wand making it convenient, safe and easy to store when not in use.

Finally a product that is very useful & versatile! The lid will fit OK on a 1 gallon milk jug and that's what I've been using. Mix your chemicals in the jug and throw it away when your done. I keep another jug mixed with soapy water to clean the sprayer when I'm finished. It will spray 2 gallons before the batteries need changing out. If your going to be using the sprayer often I'd recommend getting rechargeable AA batteries, it takes 4. We have a big garden and yard. In the garden I've been using it as a foliar, insecticide and fungal sprayer. In the yard I've used it to spray insecticide and weed killer. Our house is a one story and gets that green algae on the siding. We have to power wash it once a year, it's an all day event. Late spring this year I sprayed a mild bleach solution on the house to keep the algae at bay and seems to be working as we have no algae. This took about 10 minutes and 2 gallons to spray the whole house. I'll do it again mid fall. What a time saver! When we cleaned the carpets, I used it as a pre-treater to spray many spots (dog and kids) before using the carpet cleaner machine. I'm sure there are more used that we haven't come across yet. Now for the cons. The sprayer wand is short and could be another 3 inches longer. The batteries are a little awkward to install. The hose could be 12"-18" longer. And lastly, I wonder how long this sprayer will last? I know I'm nitpicking now. For all the use I've gotten so far if it broke tomorrow I'd be happy. Who knows, it might surprise me and last years. After all it was under $9 and came with batteries. This sprayer works great and beats pumping or squeezing a spray bottle!!! ... show more

Wow! I did not realize how awful the battery operated sprayers that come with weed killer and insect spray were until one on my Round Up container stopped working. This Craftsman sprayer wand is the absolute best I have ever used! It pinpoints the weeds being sprayed and shoots a stream out over at least 3 or 4 feet (maybe more), accurately. The price is amazingly low *AND* it comes with batteries! Craftsman, thank you for making my life easier! ... show more

    • A good sprayer but watch out for chemicals with silicone added

The sprayer worked really well the few times I was able to use it. I have bad hands due to a number of problems and this sprayer is a god send. It takes so much pressure off the muscles and tendons in my hand. That said... I sprayed down a tent with a silicone waterproofing solution (Atsko - works great) and the sprayer did an excellent job but I sprayed the tent down while it was deployed in the field. Thus, I didn't have the opportunity to wash it out before the waterproofing spray dried. When I went to use it the next time, it didn't work. I soaked it for weeks in a cleaning solution but no dice. When I reassembled the sprayer, it didn't work. For $9, I suppose I shouldn't be too hard on craftsman as the tool did the intended job. I'd recommend this to others. Make sure you wash it out every time if you're going to use it to spray a chemical with a residual additive. ... show more

    • Unexpected fun in the yard and garden

I bought this product because the built-in battery operated pumps on some weed killer had failed, and replacing the batteries didn't work. I also bought a 2-gallon pump at the same time. Sorry, that pump is getting returned. This product caught me by surprise. It's a simple hookup, and replaces whatever pump was previously on the fertilizer, weed killer, or insect killer. But the joy is in the pistol grip, and the power that it shoots whatever liquid across the yard. When I bought it, I thought the nozzle was a little short. I was wrong -- it's not a problem at all. This little baby feels like I am hunting weeds as I stalk the yard. I can peg a dandelion from a distance away -- no backsplatter, no hitting other plants by mistake, and no mercy for unsuspecting weeds. The nozzle can be easily turned to switch to spray mode. When there's a big area of only unwanted plants to cover, you can give all of them a little Roundup shower party. I wish it was a little bit cheaper. But it is far superior to the anemic battery pump it replaced. The only drawback is that I dispensed so much liquid so quickly that I rapidly used up my old weed killer. I do have some additional concentrate, which I will use to refill the containers. The cost savings may help pay for the pump. My only problem is that if I drain a container, I need to make sure my wife doesn't throw it away. I don't want to lose this by accident. Update: July 2023 This product was so useful that I bought two more! I keep the pesticide and herbicide guns separated. I started having an ant problem. I bought a 1.33 gallon refill, used this gun, and completely emptied the container while spraying the perimeter of the house. When doing this before using the supplied wands, it was a hassle. Now the spray is so strong that I can liberally coat the entire foundation, am sure I covered every area thoroughly, and provide a barrier to entry. And I saved money by using a refill instead of a regular container. No ants anymore. ... show more
