The Craftsman® Universal Power Sprayer is a consumer friendly sprayer that is effortless to use and eliminates pumping. The power wand is perfect to use for weed control, insect control and cleaning applications. The power wand is operational right out of the carton, no assembly required. The Craftsman Universal Power Sprayer comes standard with a patented dip-tube that fits on any standard 38mm ready-to-use refill bottle. Pumping days are over! The Craftsman Universal Power Sprayer is lightweight, durable and powered by 4-AA included batteries which will deliver up to 60 minutes of run-time. The convenient battery compartment built into the handle makes it quick and easy to replace 4-AA batteries. The integrated adjustable nozzle allows the customer to easily set the desired spray pattern from stream to cone in seconds. In stream mode the unit can spray up to ~20'. At the heart of the Craftsman Universal Power Sprayer is the specially designed 4.5V lightweight robust DC motor and specially designed chemical resilient gear pump. This motor-pump design is optimized to provide optimum performance in the wee, insect and cleaning applications. The Craftsman Universal Power Sprayer comes with an integrated locking trigger that allows the end-user to lock the sprayer "on" or squeeze on-demand depending on the application. Finally a product that is very useful & versatile! The lid will fit OK on a 1 gallon milk jug and that's what I've been using. Mix your chemicals in the jug and throw it away when your done. I keep another jug mixed with soapy water to clean the sprayer when I'm finished. It will spray 2 gallons before the batteries need changing out. If your going to be using the sprayer often I'd recommend getting rechargeable AA batteries, it takes 4. We have a big garden and yard. In the garden I've been using it as a foliar, insecticide and fungal sprayer. In the yard I've used it to spray insecticide and weed killer. Our house is a one story and gets that green algae on the siding. We have to power wash it once a year, it's an all day event. Late spring this year I sprayed a mild bleach solution on the house to keep the algae at bay and seems to be working as we have no algae. This took about 10 minutes and 2 gallons to spray the whole house. I'll do it again mid fall. What a time saver! When we cleaned the carpets, I used it as a pre-treater to spray many spots (dog and kids) before using the carpet cleaner machine. I'm sure there are more used that we haven't come across yet. Now for the cons. The sprayer wand is short and could be another 3 inches longer. The batteries are a little awkward to install. The hose could be 12"-18" longer. And lastly, I wonder how long this sprayer will last? I know I'm nitpicking now. For all the use I've gotten so far if it broke tomorrow I'd be happy. Who knows, it might surprise me and last years. After all it was under $9 and came with batteries. This sprayer works great and beats pumping or squeezing a spray bottle!!! ... show more

This is the best way to put down weed and grass killer for folks with mobility issues. Sprays much further and accurately than any of the "pump & spray" units (roundup) I've used and unlike the hit and miss with others who provide their own battery driven wand, this one works. Just run some water thru it afterwards to keep it sediment free and it'll keep on working like a charm. Highly recommended. ... show more

I HATE pumping sprayers so I've been buying weed killer that has the auto spray attached. Some work well, others don't and they run out of batteries that sometimes can be replaced, but many times can't. PLUS you pay for that sprayer every time, which doesn't work well sometimes. THIS is wonderful because it operated on replaceable batteries, fit's right into the container of the weed killer, and works GREAT every time. I can now even get the diluted killer and mix it up more cheaply. I bought a backup because many times there is a great item that sometimes is taken from marketplace and you can't get again. You won't regret buying this and the price is right, pays for itself instead of buying the one on the product bottle. ... show more

It is quality made with a long reach. It fits all my old jugs including and refill jug. It is ready to go by simply pulling a small piece of plastic that allows battery contact. Slip the tube in and tighten. For some reason, probably a grains in my product, but it won't spray. It runs but nothing comes out. Then it starts flowing well for another minute. I will flush it. It is more powerful than the old battery sprayer that came on jugs of weed killer or pesticide. The spray arm is short and should be made twice as long as it is.     • It's worth it if your gallon bug juice battery operated sprayer stops working

I could buy a new gallon bottle of Ortho with a battery sprayer for $16, or I could replace my broken sprayer for $8. It just stopped working one day. Since I still had 3/4 gallon left, buying the sprayer made more sense to me, so that's what I did. I wish the wand were a little longer, but since this Crafstman shoots so well, you really don't need it. It even came with 4 AA batteries, how sweet is that? This sprayer does a better job than the Ortho battery operated sprayer because it applies the insecticide more evenly. I'll probably buy an extra in case they stop selling this. Update: Love it so I bought another. I found a new use for the sprayer that I didn't expect. My wife decided to shampoo the carpets, and she needed to pre-treat some areas. A lightbulb went off, and I thought of this sprayer. I emptied and rinsed a gallon bottle and used this sprayer to lay down some carpet pre-treatment. The great thing is it sprays in a very controlled manner. It worked wonderfully for this. I'm definitely buying a third, since I could use a dedicated weed killer sprayer too. If you're looking for a spray wand to replace what ever item that had one before, this would be a good place to start your search. After encountering this situation with two 1.5 gallons of bug spray to go through, we needed something that was a hundred times better than what came with it. Thus, this item. After reading the reviews on it, we gave it a try, and so far, it's worked out rather nicely. It handled rather easily, it fits in most bottles (double check measurements for what you need it for), and so far, the battery life on it has been promising. The same goes for cleaning of it, especially if you need to use another item with it. Overall, I have no complaints on it, and recommend it for what ever you need around the house that requires a powerful enough spray. ... show more

Actually quite impressed with it so far, works better than i thought it would. One thing you have to watch out for though is how fast it goes through whatever it is you are spraying so you may run out quicker than when manually spraying. Turning the nozzel left all the way widens the spray, turning it right makes it a stream. It comes with a 1 Year Warranty so that may come in handy later on. Only downside is it uses 4 batteries, shame it doesnt use Craftsman 20V, but it does come with 4 pre installed, just remove the plastic tab. One thing of note, the sprayers get tested before leaving the factory so there is likely a small amount of water in the sprayer so be careful when testing it out the first time and dont aim it at anything or anyone, i did so when i got it to make sure it worked and a small stream of water missed my PC Tower. So fair warning when using it for the first time, just because there was a tiny bit of water in it does not mean someone returned it. ... show more
