Seeing as I had never used an air compressor before, I was a bit apprehensive when it came time to buy my own. Fortunately Craftsman is a trusted name, and going with this little guy was the right decision: it works flawlessly for all my needs and is extremely user friendly too! Whether it's filling up tires, checking for boost leaks in my truck, or just need some concentrated air to help with cleaning, this does it all without breaking a sweat. It has two attachment ports, as well as two easy to read gauges (one for cans total pressure, one for how much you want to come through hose) with a single knob on the front that controls how much air you are using. There is a safety release pin on the side, and on the bottom there is a moisture release valve that you should open up every time you are done using compressor. Make sure you have ran it down to zero prior to doing so, otherwise you might cause your pets to flee in terror from the loud hissing noise. As far as less likeable features go, they are pretty minimal! As other people have stated, this puppy is pretty loud. Nothing that will damage your ears or anything, but if your significant other or a baby is sleeping, you might want to hold off on turning it on. The safety release valve is kind of uncomfortable to pull, it's like the rings on your key chain but with a portion of it bent outward so it's kinda jagged to handle, but again, not a big deal. I imagine this is about as user friendly as it gets, so if this is your first time buying a compressor, this is an excellent choice! As tempting as it may be to buy a used one for cheaper, that is a bad idea! These cans are only made to last for so long, so be smart and stay safe! The first one arrived in a state that leaked air and absolutely would not pressurize: I presume that the relief valve was stuck open. I returned it for a replacement and recieved a new one that is completely functional. I'm using it to inflate a car tire that leaks about 1/2 a psi per day. One day soon I'll get that fixed, but this has allowed me to delay the inevitable for more weeks than I care to say. This is why I bought it, so I very much appreciate that it came with all the things I need to accomplish this task including - if I am not mistaken - a tire pressure gauge. Very nice. I have left it plugged in and pressurized for about three months and have only ever heard it run ten or fifteen seconds after I begin pumping up the tire, so it seems pretty airtight. And it doesn't run for very long, suggesting that the compressor is well sized for the service. Very Happy. ... show more

For those who do not require an industrial compressor, this item works well. I bought it to use for tire inflation for my farm tractor and it does a good job at that. However I believe it can assist me with other jobs around my home. I see it as a "residential" compressor and it is made in the USA.

This unit is a pretty nice setup. Definitely nice to use around the house for small/med size projects. I do agree with some of the reviews about it being loud but it’s a compressor. I would definitely recommend this product.

It ain't your grandpa's Craftsman, but it's OK. Grandpa couldn't pick his up with one hand and tote it around! Don't expect to be able to run air tools with this thing. That's not what it's intended for. If you need to do that, you need to get a 30 gallon or larger unit. It works great for filling tires and blowing off the work bench, but that's about all it's suited for. That being said, it builds pressure quickly, it may have taken 2 minutes before it got up to 150psi and the motor cut off. Regulator allows for 140psi max, and it drops off quickly when you start using it. Don't expect it to hold a sustained air pressure, even with the compressor running. It drops like a rock, and will keep dropping if you keep using it. The compressor can not keep up with constant demand for air pressure. Again, that's not what these small units are meant for. Quality is OK. Made in America, but unfortunately, most Americans should come with a "made in china" sticker at birth. As a nation, we're all a bunch of sorry asses, and it reflects in our work ethic. Poorly adhered labels, and the pressure/regulator gauges are crooked... we just aren't the same caliber of people we once were. Most of us don't deserve the jobs we have. Included accessory kit is a nice bonus. It's all very chinky, but at this price point, it's surprising that it comes with it at all. You get a 25' air hose with quick connects pre-installed on both ends. The hose is very flimsy feeling, but it's rated at 200 PSI. You get a tire chuck, a blow gun with 2 different end attachments, a basketball filler, and something else that I can't identify. You get a tire pressure gauge too, but mine was broken. You would probably spend $30 buying all of that stuff if you got the cheapest junk you could find... which is likely what this stuff is. ... show more

Doesnt take long to fill after starting it up and the air pressure is great for its size. It has an auto shutoff after it is fully pressurized. It is very loud when filling but thats the same with most similar products. For it it provided a great value for what i need it for. Will update if i find any issues with the durability. ... show more
