CRAFTSMAN 20V* Lithium-ion Battery Powered 4 Gallon Backpack Multi-Purpose Sprayer The sprayer comes with battery, charger and some replacement O-rings and a few spare parts. I was excited to get it and when I finally used it, I couldn’t stop smiling. Made my life so much easier now. At least when it comes to this chore. The item arrived as described with no issues. It was nicely packaged in a box. Upon unpacking it, I inspected it…no defects and all items were included. It was easily assembled, the battery charged quickly, and it was ready to go in roughly an hour. My old sprayer was a 1 gallon hand carry sprayer and it took me forever to spray around our neighborhoods community areas and my house. I dreaded doing it. This was so needed to cut down on time I spend doing it. Functionality…it worked great. I had no issues and it exceeded my expectations. I put in the water, poured in the chemicals, put in the battery, strapped it to my back and turned it on. It took a second or two to prime the pump and away I went. The spray is adjustable and covers a good area. I will say that 4 gallons of water is heavy and could be difficult for some people to get on their back. I like being able to select from a low and high flow rate. On low flow, it worked perfect. I thought it was ample for normal every day use. The hose has a swivel at the spray base. It is long enough to use with either hand without switching having go around your back. It is slightly rigid but it should loosen up over time due to use. Quality wise…it is a craftsman product. I expected a quality product and it did not disappoint me. It is made well and appears very durable. I should be able to get long-term use out it. What normally would take me a few hours to do I did in roughly an hour and 10 minutes with just one refill. After an hour and 10 minutes of use the battery still had three bars lighting up. I have used it several times now and it has worked fantastic. Overall, I would highly recommend this sprayer to others. Note, this is not a commercial sprayer in my opinion but it can handle larger jobs such as I used it for easily. ... show more

The Craftsman Backpack Sprayer is a great product. It is well-made, high quality, simple to operate, and does what it says it will do. How great is that? Living in a log house, I am overrun by carpenter bees each spring unless I spray the entire exterior of my house. Until now, I have been using a two-gallon hand pump sprayer that I have to carry around with one hand and spray with the other that is a pain to operate. This is a major step up! Arriving in its own red box, the Craftsman four-gallon Backpack Multi-Purpose Sprayer was well-packaged. Plastic-wrapped, the red and black polypropylene sprayer was accompanied by a black plastic wand, a heavy-duty nylon reinforced spray hose with trigger mechanism, a 20V 2Ah lithium ion battery and charger, as well as a thorough set of operating instructions and four spray nozzles. The four-gallon sprayer has a black plastic carrying handle at the top as well as a padded black nylon harness at the rear of the sprayer for carrying as a backpack. There are multiple buckles to allow adjustment to your body. The black screw fill cap at the top of the unit is ~4-1/2" wide, allowing easy access to the interior of the sprayer for adding liquid or getting your hand inside to remove and clean a mesh filter at the bottom of the unit. There is another removable white filter just under the cap to prevent dirt or leaves from entering the cavity as you fill it. As it faces you, there is a High/Low Power Button at the lower left of the sprayer and a watertight battery compartment at the lower right. The battery compartment is very roomy, making inserting and removing the battery quite easy. The rotating gray nylon spray hose and trigger mechanism are connected at the bottom front of the sprayer. The spray wand screws into the end of the trigger mechanism and you screw in one of four nozzles, depending on the type stream you want. The red sprayer body is well-marked in gallons and liters. There is a handy lighted battery percentage checker located near the power switch that works just like the checker on the battery itself by pressing a button. The AC charger has very prominent LEDs that flash green as the battery is charging and remain steady green when charging is complete. To operate the sprayer, simply remove the cap at the top and add the liquids, replacing the cap. Insert a charged battery and lock the compartment. Attach the wand to the trigger mechanism and attach a nozzle then release the trigger and press the power button to Low or High. Do remember that water is heavy, weighing ~ seven pounds per gallon if you are wearing the sprayer on your back. The battery arrived about 1/4 charged and took about an hour to fully charge. I was able to spray for about half an hour and the battery was still full. Even on Low, the spray was quite forceful and reached to the second story of my house. The entire sprayer comes apart for easy cleaning and dries out nicely. It is not particularly loud when operating. The manufacturer provides a three-year warranty. I am quite pleased with the Craftsman four-gallon backpack multi-purpose sprayer and will definitely put it to good use on those nasty carpenter bees this spring.
