I've used commercial swamp coolers in the past, so I had high hopes for this one. And it does work, but it doesn't blow super-cooled air. With cold water and two ice packs, it will blow cool air for 3-4 hours before you have to change ice packs and top off the water. Fortunately, I'm using it in a small office and it works pretty well for my application. Set up and use are exactly as shown in the video. Just be sure that it has a flat stable platform and don't overfill the reservoir. As for noise, it's a fan. It's going to make some noise if turned up. What could be better: It's kind of hard to see the water level. A small waterproof LED over the reservoir would have provided some backlighting, making it easier to see where the water level is from the front. Overall, it's not a bad fan for smaller applications. Doesn’t cool anymore than a regular fan does. It wakes me up at night if it’s turning since it creeks at every turn. Should have returned it within the 30 day period

I’m not getting much cold air. When you enable the setting for the fan to move back and forth, it makes a loud clicking noise which isn’t pleasant when you’re trying to sleep. You’re better off just buying a standard fan.

So completely disappointed with this product! At its highest fan setting, this “AC fan” blows about as hard as my $30 tower fan at its lowest setting. Followed the directions and watched the girl in the video … ice packs and water make no difference at all. I added the frozen ice packs with ice water and it blew warm air all night … woke up in a sweat. What a waste of time! Returning for refund! ... show more

I followed the instructions exactly. It doesn't blow cold air at all. I did all the suggested troubleshooting recommendations and still NOT COLD. My 24.00 fan from Fred Meyer blows colder air than this "Air Conditioner"
