The best thing about this product is that will be easy to return. It is set to COOL, but it doesn't. The air blown out is the same temperature as the temperature of the air going in. The instruction manual doesn't cover some of the most basic FAQs, for example, what does "No use without water Cold Wind" even mean? And what is the purpose of the "ice crystal" packets? In the attached picture, the number 40 signifies nothing. One might think it is the timer, but it isn't. The "swing" function doesn't seem to change anything about the air flow. It’s no a/c but it surely helps on those hot summer days. My back porch was so hot during summer so I bought this and my friends and family love it. Blows cool air as advertised. I like to put laundry scent booster in the water bin so it blows fresh smelling air too! Makes my whole back porch smell amazing! I would recommend to anyone sweating it out this summer, just go get you one! ... show more

    • Not the difference I was hoping for
I bought this for my son who lives in El Paso Tx. He is in the Army and will be going overseas in about a month. He lives in an older apt building where the central AC is not the best...practically non existent. And since he is only there for a short amount of time I was trying to get something that would make it more tolerable in his apt. Unfortunately this didn't work as well as I had hoped. I think if you start using it before it gets too hot it may make a difference. But with the temp already around 90 when he received it did not make the difference I had hoped. ... show more

This may be ok for daytime use but way too noisy for operation at night/bedroom. Poorly written, incomplete user manual. Not recommending it.

No directions on how to remove air filter which needed to be removed to clean
