The machine cools nicely and is quiet. Compact and comes with what you need to vent. All great. BUT the instruction booklet needs to be rewritten. Trying to figure out how to operate it isn't so easy. The display is easy enough to read but getting it to do what you want is not. I want it to maintain the temperature but can't get it to do so. It is cooling, and it is difficult to change the temperature setting. It pops in and out of mode too fast. I go to try and +/- and it pops out of edit mode. I got a costway portable air cooler july 23/2024 unfortunately it did not work. It showed a error code first time we plugged it in. We e-mailed costway with the issue with a short video. This portable AC worked amazing the first couple months! But now it doesn't cool down as much, the air coming from it isn't nearly as cold as it was at first. And now it's malfunctioning when I switch between modes. The AC setting won't kick on every now and then! I'm frustrated going into the hottest month of summer. Can't afford another.. I was waking up way too cold at night most nights. I'd have to shut it off or set a timer but now I can run it all night on lowest setting and it doesn't seem to help nearly as much if at all. A little frustrating. I feel like "30 day return policy" was intentional due to known issues. Hoping I can get it fixed. ... show more
