Description

Snake Plant features variegated, green foliage. The Snake Plant is great for tabletops. It does well in spaces that have bright, indirect sunlight. Place Snake Plant in a spot that receives bright light (5 or more hours of sunlight). Water your plant about once a week with approximately 1 cup and be sure all excess water drains away. Adjust as needed for your environment. Do not let the Snake Plant sit in water or overly soggy soil. The height at dispatch is approximately 14-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. The Snake Plant arrives in a 6-inch décor pot. To avoid water spillage, this container does not have holes. The Snake Plant is a moderate grower. Exact growth rate depends on the care provided and its environment. Give it a boost during the warm months of Spring and Summer with a general-purpose fertilizer that is formulated for potted plants. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package for the best use. When the plant out grows the current container, it is time to repot. To repot the Snake Plant, gently remove it from its current container and place it into a slightly larger container. Fill in any empty spaces with new and fresh soil and water thoroughly. This plant is considered hardy in USDA Zone 9-11. Be aware of third-party sellers; other companies try to imitate our quality. Very disappointed with Costa Farms and the condition that my snake plant arrived in. The soil the plant was in was so drenched in water that the leaves were droopy and mush. In my attempt to repot into dryer soil the leaves drooped even more and began to bend every which way. This was an anniversary gift for someone special to me and now I can’t give it to them as the condition is so poor. As “professionals” you should know snake plants can survive without water for some time. It’s actually preferred that the soil be completely dried out for you to then water them a bit. That’s the type of plant they are! Extreme overwatering is truly unnecessary and now you’ve got my money but I’m left with an absolutely horrendous looking plant that’s on the verge of dying. It even had a small bulb coming up from the soil growing another baby snake plant but it’s turned completely white due to the overwatering. ... show more

Happy to report that my plant was really full, healthy looking and tall as describe. Only suggestion is using extra scotch tape at both ends of the shipping container. Both ends were broken open.

I purchased 2 of these snake plants a few months apart. The first plant came with the leaves have the lovely light yellow border. I loved the plant so much I ordered another one but sadly the leaves did not have the border. I still love it but I wanted it to match the first one I purchased. Packaging was great. It took a while to get here, I actually forgot I ordered it. But I purchased this bc I was told it helps with oxygen in the air. It has grown a bit and it's very easy to tend to.
