Description

Assorted Foliage features assorted, green foliage. These houseplants are great for small spaces. They do well in spaces that have bright, indirect sunlight. Place live plants in a spot that receives bright light. Water plants about once a week with approximately 1/2 cup and be sure all excess water drains away. Adjust as needed for your environment. Do not let the Assorted Foliage sit in water or overly soggy soil. The height at dispatch is approximately 8-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. The live plants arrive in 4-inch décor pots. To avoid water spillage, this container does not have holes. The live house plants are moderate growers. Exact growth rate depends on the care provided and its environment. Give it a boost during the warm months of Spring and Summer with a general-purpose fertilizer that is formulated for potted plants. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package for the best use. When the plant out grows the current container, it is time to repot. To repot, gently remove it from its current container and place it into a slightly larger container. Fill in any empty spaces with new and fresh soil and water thoroughly. This plant is considered hardy in USDA Zone 9-11.Be aware of third-party sellers; other companies try to imitate our quality. There are no other authorized Costa Farms sellers. These arrived right before Christmas. They are very nice plants, 5 out of 6 were alive upon receipt, one was to close to the heat pack and was shriveled and dry. I am definitely not a fern girl this almost dead as well, sorry to say it's not the first one I have failed. The other 4 are beautiful and thriving id buy again. It would be cool if we could pick the ones we want, to not get duplicate plants. ... show more

All 5 plants came packaged well and got to me in good condition. One did not survive but the rest are growing beautifully. It takes a few days for the plants to acclimate to their new space so give it time. Well worth the price.

I ordered these plants because when I was in the interior landscaping business, Costa Farms was known as an excellent grower of interior plants, and I used many of their products. When these small plants arrived, one had several brown leaves. However, I dropped it when I took it out of the box, so I didn't want to complain, not being able to identify how much damage was already there and how much damage I did by dropping. Of course, the brown leaves were there, but my drop could have caused unseen damage. I removed the bad leaves and watered the plant and expected it to revive and do well. Another plant was totally wilted. But I watered it well, and it seemed to revive and looked good. The third plant was fine. I cared for the plants carefully, and I was one of the first 50 certified interior horticulturists in the nation, so I know how to care for indoor plants. Unfortunately, in spite of my best efforts, the two damaged plants died. I looked at the product description and saw a number for Costa Farms for a guarantee. I called that number, and the man I spoke with said Amazon was responsible for the guarantee. I explained that the Amazon website said Costa Farms was responsible and provided this number to call. He said that wasn't right and gave me a number to call at Amazon. The man who answered said Costa Farms was responsible for the guarantee and gave me a number to call. I told him I had already called that number and the person answering gave me the number I was speaking to him on. He assured me that Costa Farms was responsible, and he would remind them of that. He told me he sent a message to Costa Farms reminding them about their guarantee and promised me someone from Costa would contact me to offer replacements for the two plants that died. I waited for several weeks before writing a review to give Costa Farms time to respond. Unfortunately, they never did. This was very disappointing to me, as the good opinion I had of the nursery from my years as an interior landscaper was tarnished by this. I don't know whether their quality has deteriorated in the 25+ years since I dealt with them, whether they are better with the large plants we used in interior landscaping than the small plants in this order, or whether this was just a confusing glitch. Unfortunately, when I received them, one of them was dead. I tried to revive it by separating the leaves, letting it sit for three days after I received it in the warm lamp light,but it looks like it might’ve been a little bit overwatered, and then with the cold air (not anyones fault) that it was shipped in you can’t blame it for not making it. The other plants turned out great, but I lost one in the process. I’m bummed, because it was the one I wanted the most. ... show more

I received my plants a little over a week ago & I have to say that I am pleased so far. I was impressed with how they were packed... every plant arrived well-watered & in great shape. I up-potted them within 36 hrs. My house is probably cooler than they'd like right now (it is winter in the Northeast afterall) but they're getting plenty of light, I'm keeping a close eye on them & I'm sure they'll be fine. One plant came with lots "crunchy" leaves but looks healthy otherwise. Hoping it'll bounce back soon. Added bonus... no bugs, so far!! YAY!! My only "complaint", if you want to call it that, is that all of the paperwork (invoice, info sheets, etc) was placed in the bottom of the box under the plants so they were soaked, stuck together and unreadable. (I tried drying them out but it didn't help much.) Maybe in the future you can put those papers in a plastic bag so they won't get ruined. Overall I am happy with my new plants & would order again from this company. ... show more
