Description

The Aglaonema is an easy-to-grow houseplant with bold, colorful leaves; ideal for tabletops, desks, and shelves. It adds color and texture to any space making it excellent as home decor accent or for gift giving. Water when the top couple inches of the soil are dry (about once a week) and be sure all excess water drains away. If the container does not have holes, use approximately 1 cup of water, adjust as needed for your environment. Do not let the Aglaonema sit in water or overly soggy soil. The height at dispatch is approximately 14 inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. The The Aglaonema is a slow grower depending on its environment and is hardy in USDA Zones 10-11. Give it a boost during the warm months of Spring and Summer with a general-purpose fertilizer that is formulated for house plants. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package for the best use. When the plant out grows the current container, it is time to repot. To repot the plant, gently remove it from its current container and place it into a slightly larger container. Fill in any empty spaces with new and fresh soil and water thoroughly. Be aware of third-party sellers; other companies try to imitate our quality. There are no other authorized Costa Farms sellers. While the quality of the planter it came in, was not what I was expecting, this beautiful plant more than makes up for it! It looks beautiful and is thriving in one that I had on hand. It continues to flourish, so I’m pleased that I moved it to a bigger pot :) The one thing that was concerning, about the plant itself - but ultimately ended up not being a problem (thankfully!) was the fact that it came in 3 separate 2in containers, and the roots were much, much too long to have been in those small starter pots. On one of the 3, the stem grew outside of the container while attached to the rest of it on the inside, and the roots were so wound at the top, I thought for a second that there was some sort of plastic holding the stems together. I was able to save the one on the exterior, planting it and giving it to my daughter, and that part of it is also doing well! ... show more

I opened the box not knowing what to expect, and to my astonishment there before me was the most beautiful and hethy plant. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was so well packaged for travel. There was no damaged leaves. Oooh!!!! And the SIZE was so nice it wasn't a little tiny beginner. I have this big gorgeous plant with such brilliant color. Most beautiful and healthy plants. I've gotten a dozen+ in the last few months to fill my new apartment and soul. Not one arrived sick or thin. All are better than expected. The decorative pots are a steal at just a few dollars more. Great quality soil. I'll be back to Costa again.

When this plant came it was beautiful....on the outside. Once I let the plant acclimate I took off the cling wrap only to notice the roots were popping out of the pot. Oh well, I thought, I will just repot it as I love repotting plants. When I went to lift the plant out of the pot I noticed something hard against my hand. Swept a little of the moss away and saw it was a mesh pot used in hydropoincs for growing cuttings. Hmmm, that's weird, I thought. Must have been a mistake. Nope, it wasn't just one mesh pot. But 3 mesh pots in the container. One for each of the plants. I don't know about you, but I see a major problem with that. For one, the roots have grown thru the mesh pots and I will never be able to remove them without cutting the roots. Secondly, while the roots are healthy and large, cutting all of them as I will have to do to remove the mesh pots, could possibly put the plant in shock and kill it. As happy as I was when I received it and looked at its outer beauty, I am 10x's more disappointed in the undercarriage of the plant as this is the most crucial part that sustains its life. ... show more

The plant arrived healthy, the soil was still moist and most of the soil actually stayed in the container. They packaged it VERY well, even if your delivery person isn't very careful you shouldn't have a problem. It comes in a black pot with drainage holes inside a plastic decorative pot without holes. I've had the plant for 2-3 weeks now and it's doing great! ... show more
