I got this offset umbrella for the back patio to help keep some of that sun from beating down on me. This umbrella is really large and offers a lot of shade. I had to get some sand bags to weigh it down. The mint color is a very refreshing spring color that looks nice.

I ordered this umbrella in the mint color, it's not a color you see in umbrellas all the time and I thought it would look nice in the back yard. This umbrella is HUGE! opens to a full 10 feet when opened flat. This is my 2nd offset style umbrella and I really love the way this looks. The base does not come with weights (as most do not). We live on a rocky property so just gathered up 4 bags of rocks to use as weights like we did our other umbrella. This one does not come with a cover for the base so you can cover your sandbags (or rocks in our case). I wish it had one but I made one out of some black canvas material that I had, which works fine. It would have looked nicer, I think, with a pre-designed cover you can put over the base, one that has a better fit. We did try it with water, but it's a little more difficult to move around with the water, so opted for the rock bags instead. Our yard - both front and back - has no trees for shade so the umbrellas really make our outdoor area more appealing. It's especially nice for sitting under during a rain storm, as long as the winds are low. When the umbrella is fully extended it does make it more susceptible to movement from the breeze. But it is so easy to lower and raise, make adjustments, and even rotate! I works great for our needs, creating shade on sunny days, and rain protection on wet days. The cover material does not look as durable as other umbrellas we have had - I hope this one will be easy to replace. But while it lasts, I know we'll all enjoy it! ... show more

This patio umbrella is of good quality and it looks nice. I needed to get a weighted base to hold it up. my only disappointment is that I ordered it "White" to go with my decor and the white is not really white..... more like cream.... I almost returned but it was too hot and I needed it up.

Not only is this a great looking umbrella, but very functional and pretty easy to put together. The way that the clamp on the pole slides, provides for many different angles of shade as well as shade right over the top. It feels fairly solid and I think will last a long time. The base is solid, though you will need weights or another way to secure it as it is sturdy but could easily fall over in the wind. Not really an issue with the umbrella itself, but while I was bringing the box into my house, one of the washers used for assembly fell out of the box due to the way it was packaged.
