  • It does the job
I bought this RAM cooler for the specific purpose of verifying that the errors I was receiving in TestMem5 using the Extreme@anta777 config file, was related to temperatures. I am using an Oloy DDR4-3600CL14 kit, overclocked to 4133 with CL13 timings. It is confirmed Samsung B-Die, and as B-Die, its temperature sensitive. Unfortunately I forgot to save my screenshots of DRAM Temps in HWInfo, so take my word for it but also do so with a grain of salt. On my initial stress tests in TM5, I was seeing DRAM temperatures hover around 47-52c depending on the specific test being performed during the stress test. Those who are familiar with TM5 and the Extreme@anta777 config will understand this. I realized after running for 2.5 hours and starting the 3rd cycle of stress test, the temps started getting above 50c and like clockwork, the RAM would start to error out. Remembering that Samsung B-die is temperature sensitive, I was thinking about putting my RAM sticks to my waterloop with EKWB's RAM waterblock - but before I did, I wanted to confirm the errors were actually temp related. I tried to creatively use one of my spare fans I have lying around to see if it affected temps, but because it was a 140mm fan, I couldn't get it close enough nor the RPM high enough to affect RAM temps. I found this cooler and thought "why not?". And it works. With average RAM temps hitting 50c under stress testing, this fan allowed my RAM to get no higher than 37c under stress testing. Idle temps prior to using this fan, was 32c and after it got down to 28c. Not a large difference in idle temps, but a massive 10+c improvement under 100% load. I was able to run 3 back to back runs of TM5, of 3 cycles each running to 500% coverage, totaling roughly 12 hours of constant load and my RAM kit never errored out with the overclock I put it on. This is with DRAM voltage at 1.55v Now that I've confirmed my errors were ONLY temperature related, I can finally add my RAM to the water loop I have on my PC. At $35 that I paid, its a little expensive, but it does the job I was expecting it to do. The fan it comes with, is very noisy. The 120mm fans in my PC, are set to run at 1400rpm and they are whisper quiet. This fan has a high pitched whine and I can hear it through my Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL case. I do not personally recommend using this as a daily driver type of device from the noise alone. Just use it to confirm if your system stability issues are related to RAM temperatures. It also provides just enough airflow for your VRM's if you are using a CPU waterblock - as I know some motherboards aren't very stable with VRM temps. I use a Monoblock on my motherboard so VRM's aren't a concern for me here. It's really easy to install, and the clips have rubber where it grabs on to the latch for the RAM. It uses 3-pin connector, so if you want to limit the noise from the fan, you'll have to do so through your motherboard fan header if it has voltage control. It is not PWM. • Good item to have for gamer's or non-gamer's!
Excellent quality and fitment. Recommended!

  • Works but it's tight fit
Works well to cool the ram, but be aware it is a very tight fit in a mid-tower case. I got it too work but it doesn't sit directly over the ram due to my 212 cooler fans being in the way, and on the other side you got the mobo main cable in the way makes it hard to clip down. I don't notice it being loud as others have mentioned though. ... show more

  • Does the job
Corsair Vengeance I9 with 32gb Dominator. MSFS 2020 on ultr settings running mem bit warmer than I cared for but this seems to help keep temp down. Bit of a pain to install but that's because my first time. Would be easy now that I know how installs. If you have Vengeance or Dominator I would recommend this. Cost wise bit high but keeping your mem healthy well worth it. ... show more

  • WOW!
This item does EXACTLY what it is supposed to do.. Before my RAM was so hot I could not touch it. Now it is almost COLD to the touch! Thank you Corsair!

  • Works GREAT for hot DDR5
I purchased this ram cooler because my DDR5 was getting hot under load. It was reaching 58c and DDR5 performance is directly related to its temp. After installing this cooler and benchmarking extensively my memory hasn't gone past 47.8c. That's more than a 10c reduction in temps. If you are wanting better results in a ram cooler you better be looking at a considerably more expensive liquid cooling setup. This kit comes with 3 easily replaceable fan shroud colors (blue, red, and silver). It is easy to install and clips over your CLOSED ram slots (make sure the tabs on the empty slots are closed). I had a very small space in which to install the cooler and was still able to position it optimally without clearance issues. I had planned to put a 60mm pwn fan from noctua in this but the OEM fan inside measures 60mmx60mmx20mm and the noctua 60mm fan states that it measures 60mmx60mmx25mm. I don't think the ram cooler shroud will allow for this extra 5mm of depth. I run a fairly quiet rig and don't think this fan runs loud at all. Even at 100% all the time. Side note : Bonus = it gives a unique and pretty cool overall look to your build! ... show more

  • Fan failed after four months
The Vengeance Cooling Fan was easy enough to install and did an adequate job of moving air across the DRAM. For certain, The Vengeance Memory Cooling Fan helped with memory stability when overclocked and running hot. Unfortunately, at this time all I can hear is the fan used with the cooler screaming from inside my case. The system is about two years old--lots of fans. Similar sized fans moving air across the SSD's. The system is well filtered, no dust inside--other fans have been performing as expected for at least six time longer. Do I yank the cover and remove the fan, or just get a replacement and only open the cover once? How long to listen to the thing scream? Two days after I buy a replacement fan on Amazon its fixed Or call Corsair, jump through the RMA hoops, and wait a few weeks+? $15 for the replacement fan.... ... show more
