  • Works in ps5
Style: MP600 PRO Capacity: 1000GB
The drive was easy to install. It fits in the PS5 but there is one catch, the aluminum cover on the PS5 expansion slot hits the top of the heatsink but this is not a big issue. The storage space is as advertised and the read/ write speeds are really fast.

  • Dead after 15 minutes
Style: MP400 Capacity: 4000GB
Looks like a solid product, quite heavy in hand. I was able to copy files to the drive and it was fast. Unfortunately that has become memory since it died after 15 minutes of use. My computer prompted error all of a sudden after which it won’t show up on any computer or enclosure I tried. That’s some awful amount of money for 15 minutes of happiness… ... show more

  • WORKS AS ADVERTISED and SOLUTION TO THE HEAT SINK ISSUE
Style: MP600 Capacity: 1000GB
Item works as advertised. I have have the Gigabyte X570-I-AORUS-PRO-WIFI-rev-10#kf Itx board, and had to remove the original heatsink in order to fit it in main nvme slot. Yes the heatsink is bulky and gigabyte I think have their own version with a copper shroud that actually does fit. Without shroud it overheats and slows down. So I bought this on amazon: M.2 Heatsink Copper, m2 pcie NVMe Laptop Heatsink Copper, with Silicone Thermal Pad, for M.2 2280 SSD Laptop And after attaching this thing I am getting the advertised speeds, I didn't use the rubber bands and used the thinner thermal pad that was included. So either go my way or wait for the gigabyte version (by the way I think they both use the same Phison ssd) in each. Hope this helped you! ... show more

  • PCIe Gen 4 With No Price Premium
Style: MP600 Capacity: 1000GB
As of the time I purchased this (I was one of the lucky ones that pre-ordered before the page was removed), the top end PCIe Gen 3 drives were exactly price matched with this drive. So getting PCIe Gen 4 speeds with no price premium was really nice of Corsair to do. I have two of these in RAID 0 in an MSI X570 Ace motherboard. The resulting 2 TB RAID 0 drive is then partitioned into two volumes: A 450GB partition for the OS (Windows 10 64bit Home), then the remaining space is one volume where I install the stuff that I want to access at PCIe Gen 4 speeds. The drives themselves are incredibly fast. Yes, you really need PCIe Gen 4 if you want to take advantage of the speeds these drives are capable of producing. Unfortunately, the current RAID 0 implementation of the MSI X570 Ace isn't good; the speed benefit from RAID 0 is negligible; you will get 90% of the RAID 0 speed by just using the drives as standalone, non-RAID drives. This will vary from motherboard to motherboard, so your mileage may (and will) vary. The drives run cool, thanks to their huge heatsinks. IMO, Corsair should not have pre-attached the heatsinks, as many motherboards come with built in actively cooled cooling solutions for m.2 drives. Users could either use the heatsinks or not, depending upon their own usage scenario. Other than this one small thing, I have zero complaints. These drives are cost competitive, very fast, and run cool. Corsair knocked this one out of the park. ... show more

  • Heatsink blocks my PCI-Express port
Style: MP600 Capacity: 2000GB
I wanted to plug this into my new X570 motherboard. Unfortunately the heatsink on this is so big, it blocks my 2nd PCI-E x16 port from being used. Had to return because I'd rather use 2 GPU's than this! This heat sink is BIG!

  • Super fast drive!!!! (update firmware)
Style: MP600 Capacity: 1000GB
The only downside is the stock cooler is hard to fit into a system unless you remove it, and use the motherboards nvme cooler. My board had a section where I could just remove the motherboard nvme cooler and use this one. Also the drive runs way quicker if you go to the corsair website and download the corsair ssd toolbox. It has a firmware update feature, that after using helped me reach advertised speeds. Really solid performer for now. ... show more

  • Incompatible with Asus Crosshair VIII Hero Motherboard - Unable to Use x4 lanes in Gen4 mode
Style: MP600 Capacity: 1000GB
I purchased this Corsair NVMe drive along with an Asus Crosshair VIII Hero Motherboard. It functions perfectly in Gen3 PCIe mode x4. It functions perfectly in Gen4 PCIe mode x2. It cannot function in Gen4 PCIe mode x4. Corsair's solution is to either upgrade the firmware (which it doesn't need) or secure erase until it uses all four lanes. This is untenable. I may have to return this product to Amazon since it cannot perform as advertised out of the box. ... show more
