we took this on our last camping trip to the redwoods here in California. it was so easy to assemble that myself and my best friend were able to do it on our own. we also put 2 queen sized blowup mattresses inside and there was plenty of room to make a walkway down the middle and room still for our belongings. the lights are so helpful and can really make a difference when camping with children that need to get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. take down was a little tricky only due to trying to get it to the correct size to fit in the bag but once we were able to do it. we will be using this every time we camp. ... show more

I just attended the annual Girl Scout spring camping event with my daughters, and we knew that the forecast was for 100% rain one of the days. Well, sure enough the forecast was true and it started raining around 3:00AM and rained the entire Saturday. The tent held up very well as far as water leaks goes. I had one little issue with a little water coming in by the door zipper. That very well could have been due to it no being closed properly, so that was not a game changer at all. The built in lighting is awesome and very adequate lighting. My little one appreciated the night light function. I was happy to see that CORE added a few hooks at the top of the tent for lantern, fans and the such. My other CORE 9 person tent did not have any. The instant set up function is always a plus, we got the the site a little late and got everything set up before night fall. When they advertise the tent as a 12 person tent, I take that as a general estimate of it's size. It was three of us and we had two full inflatable mattresses, a zero gravity chair, two small tables and plenty of space of various gear. The only caveat that I can think of is that the rain fly is a bit tricky to put on, and probably is better with two people. I would recommend this brand and this tent. ... show more

Awesome tent! Easy to set up. My wife and I were able to get it set up, rain fly attached, and anchored down in about 30 minutes on our 2nd try. We expect it to be easier the next time we set it up. Very spacious. On our "glamping" trip, we had a queen size air mattress set up in the middle and on one side of the tent with two 4' tables set up on the other side of the tent with plenty of room to move around left over. Sturdy. After reading some of the reviews, we were concerned about the sturdiness of the tent from the wind. During our stay, the wind was pretty strong (I think the weather said 20-25mph gusts?). We ensured that everything was anchored down properly and we had no issues with the wind. LEDs inside worked great. The brightest setting provided great light while the "night light" was perfectly bright enough to be able to see what you're doing without lighting up the entire camp site. I live overseas currently due to work and my daughter is a Girl Scout. We just went camping over this weekend and ordered the tent a week before our camping trip. It got here the Monday before our trip which was a relief and my wife and I came home to practice setting it up and taking it back down before the trip. When we got to the campsite with the rest of the troop, it was raining so we were going as fast as we could with setup. It took us all of 5 minutes — if that, to put up the tent and secure the rainfly. Naturally, water got in because the rain fly wasn’t on, but once we hooked it up, everything was fine. It continued to rain as we dried the floor with a towel my wife brought and the tent held up extremely well. We did have an issue with water inside the tent, but chalked it down to condensation and the vents at the bottom of the tent allowing the water in. Overall though, we are extremely pleased with the tent and were the talk at camp because of our setup! I would recommend this tent to anyone looking to be comfortable at camp while your kiddo bonds with the brother/sister scouts. ... show more

Loved the light feature on this tent! It gets pretty dark in the woods and the ease of having light with a push of a button was a game changer for me! I bought a six person tent and it's only me and my husband but it is perfect for us! There is room for all of the over packing that I do! You just never know with the weather what you might need! I also have to mention how easy it was to set up and take down! When packing it away, it actually fit back into the carry bag with no problems! Didn't have any bad weather so can't comment on how it withstood the elements but I liked this tent otherwise! For that reason I gave this tent 4 stars! ... show more

This tent is so awesome, it sets up and down so easily following the directions. With two of us, we had it completely set up in 20 minutes easily. The lights have 3 settings and easily light up the entire tent. There is ample room in it and we could stand up straight, so no constant bending over inside!! Air vents on the bottom allow good air flow, even with the windows shut, but I loved how there are windows on every side to keep it cooler during the day, the air circulates so well inside! Loved the screened top, covered with the rain guard, that allows for even more air circulation. We didn't use the room divider this trip, but I have a feeling it will come in handy at some point! I was just so impressed with every little detail that went into this tent and the built-in lights made us feel much safer than having a lantern inside with a flame! Even my in-laws were impressed with how quick it went up and came down, and how roomy it was inside!! If I could give this tent 10 stars, I would because it is that awesome!! ... show more
