I haven't had too many projects requiring a paint sprayer since ordering this but I have tested it out on a few things. I works great with my normal DeWalt and offbrand batteries. Finally no longer need to deal with a power cord during spraying and I have tons of batteries so can just keep rotating on larger projects. It sprays evenly and consistently, just gotta monitor when the battery starts dying down, but it takes a while with the 4Ah ones. Poor instructions on what nozzle to use for what type of paint but works well ones you figure that out. Another downside is how quickly it goes through the batteries. I had 6 batteries and 3 chargers which worked well because I had a lot to paint. Wouldn’t recommend anything less than that for a big project. ... show more

With no power outlet in sight, the dewalt battery compatibility was an absolute lifesaver - we have them a ton. It’s super lightweight and easy to handle even for me, making the whole process fun and stress-free. This is a decent little inexpensive paint sprayer that'll work with your existing 20V DeWalt batteries. I'm quite happy that companies have recognized that people don't want proprietary batteries and chargers for all of their cordless devices and would like some kind of "standard". That's what this gives us. As far as functionality, if you've never used one before this is a decent one to start with. Watch some online videos, practice on some scrap wood and you'll be decent with this tool before you know it. As was said, this does not hold a lot of paint. If you're doing your entire house you will be refilling quite frequently. But if you are doing smaller things the canister is adequate for that. ... show more

This little paint sprayer is a solid option for smaller DIY projects, especially if you're already using DeWalt 20V batteries, which is a huge plus. The sprayer itself is lightweight, easy to handle, and has a good grip. It works well for things like chairs, desks, or small sheds, but if you're tackling something larger like a house, be prepared to refill the paint pretty frequently, as the hopper doesn’t hold much. A major downside is the fast battery drain, so I could only make it through small projects - which is all I’ve been using it for. Some independent research and watching videos is very helpful if you haven’t used a sprayer before. The instructions could be a lot clearer, especially when it comes to which nozzle to use for what type of paint. It comes with extra spray tips, which is nice in case one gets clogged. Overall, it’s great for smaller jobs, but if you’re doing a big project, just make sure you have plenty of batteries and be ready to refill often. ... show more

    • Pretty good sprayer and it uses my dewalt batteries

This is my first sprayer. I got it so that I could spray the side of my house instead of using other methods. And it was a little bit of a learning curve. First off DeWalt batteries do fit in it. I have four of them so power wasn’t an issue. The only issue was the amount of paint I could put in it. It does have a smaller hopper, so so you won’t be able to use as much paint. It’d be great for a chair or desk or something, but for a house, I’m gonna have to refill it a lot of times. Another thing that took a little bit of learning was that it has a little cup/funnel in it that I did not know what it was for. There was a small little note in the instructions with certain times in seconds with the funnel pictured. After looking it up online, I found out that for the various paints, you need to dilute them with water, or paint thinner, depending on the paint, and then you submerge the funnel in there and it should run out in a certain amount of time. if you’re confused, don’t worry about it just watch some YouTube videos. Aside from that it was easy to disassemble to clean, and it seems to work pretty well. But this is my first one, but the results look pretty good on the side of my house ... show more

We have been debating getting a sprayer for a while but they are often rather pricey. This one showed up in my Vine feed and was compatible with batteries we already have in the garage.     • Good for Small Non-Critical Projects After Some Trial and Error

Because of the small cup and the battery duration, you're probably not going to want to paint an entire house with this. It'll take some trial and error to determine which tip to use for which paints/stains. You may need to thin your latex paint that you wouldn't have to thin with a conventional sprayer.
