I'm very satisfied with this purchase. The shears are easy to use when hand-held. When attached to the pole, they work just as well. The weight is not bad, although pruning above your head for a long time would probably get tiring. I'll also add that the maximum cut of 1.57" seems a little optimistic, but it easily cuts branches up to about 1". Overall, I'm glad I chose this rather than one of the similar products. This little pruner is really impressive. If it fits in its jaws, it will cut it. It is super light weight but really powerful..I made over a thousand cuts the first time I used it and the battery was still going strong. The trigger is really easy, absolutely no fatigue. Amazing little pair of shears. Powerful, light and fun to use. Bought for wife who has shoulder issue and this much easier one handed use than full length two handle loppers. I used on an ATV ride to clear small branches out of the way and worked great.

These shears are fantastic! They cut 1 1/2" branch with ease. Super sharp and great cutting. Snip! Snip! Snip! Pruning is fast and effortless. I must be mindful of how I'm using them because they could take off my finger in a half second but I love them. Great product!

I watched the price on this fluctuate dramatically for weeks. I bought it at a low (first week of November 2023), after which it went up $110 (January 2024); it is currently $259, I paid $149. I bought two. I would not pay the higher price for it, but it is a pretty great tool and I really like it. I also bought a smaller one for a gardener I know and she loves it too. This was recommended to me by a friend and it was a good idea. This has the 40 mm jaws, but even if you put something soft in there like sumac at 40 mm it might take a few tries to cut through it. For harder woods, it might fit in the jaws but it will not cut it easily. I keep a hand saw and a battery chain saw (Stihl) handy too. Or rotate the jaws around the stem and hit it multiple times. Overall, I love this thing. Was a good deal at $149 .... at $259? not so much. ... show more
