Didn't had much expectations, just knew it will work. When moment came to use it, I drilled few holes in plastic and it obviously did it. After that was time for some 'concrete' action. I put bit, climbee the ladder, switched it in hammer drill and started drilling. It was going well and then I decided to put it in high-gear... That was the moment when my eyes go 0_o. I was excited when I found this drill, I have many batteries that fit, drill arrived looking good, I was surprised at the feel and build, three screws later and it gave up the ghost! Can't return to Amazon, currently waiting on a response from the seller or manufacturer, review will not change if it doesn't get replaced! ... show more

I work for myself, and my original makita drill had seen 6 years of abuse.. it finally died. Currently I mostly need the drill for mixing drywall mud and sometimes concrete for patching, so I had a hard time spending $180 for a replacement, knowing it would be destroyed again in no time. I found this listing that takes the makita batteries that i already have, and this drill was a third of the price. And a hammer drill at that. So far I have used it to mix concrete, drywall mud, paint, and the other day I used it to drill multiple holes in concrete. This thing is a beast! Its heavy and feels good in your hand. However, the one thing that concerns me about the construction of the drill is the bottom side of the grip where the battery attaches feels a little unstable, as it's a separate piece-- more than likely made that way to accommodate different bases for other models and batteries-- but I'm careful with it. I wouldnt necessarily trust dropping it from a tall ladder or scaffold. But for my needs, It's a strong drill, its got a brushless motor, and it suits my purposes perfectly. Best part is that if it does get destroyed from the materials I have to mix, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase the same one to replace it. So far, I've been using it for a little over a month nonstop, and it has been good to me. ... show more

i broke it within 1 month using a one inch drill bit...and for the record it made 1 hole stalled idk how many times. i got really hot. didnt seem happy then the second hole killed it...then i took the whole thing apart and the gears are entirely metal and planetary...the motor made decent power...for diy and homeowners this is grest value...if you trying to drill 1 inch holes in mild steel thats quarterish thick...you need a bigger drill ... show more
