Stores no longer stock affordable mini blinds with pull cords because of the understandable risk of strangulation with small children. The problem is that the recent laws banning pull cords make no exceptions for households with no children. For our house, we cannot use mini blinds without pull cords since the blinds descend into a spot on the window sills where they cannot easily be grasped and lifted. These mini blinds are well-made and much more affordable than previous custom-made corded blinds were. And they also fit right into the brackets I installed for other blinds years ago. I had a little trouble getting it up, but once I figured it out, it was pretty easy. I have cats, so this is the Longest I have ever had a set of these type of blinds last. They (the cats) did finally partially break one strip a few weeks back, where the string is, but we have had it up for many months now. And, the break was fixable with a little bit of scotch tape lol. Other than a very slight bend on the end of the that one strip, you cannot even tell it has an issue.     • Nice blinds with cheap mounting hardware

The blinds went up quickly and fell down just as quickly. The brackets are cheap, stamped metal with an even worse rivot. I eventually bent mine into place and locked them down with a flat blade screwdriver.

    • A CORED blind. Just what we needed!

A corded miniblind! Just what we needed!!! These blinds were fairly easy to install. They are perfectly as described. Very happy with looks and function. A few of our windows are high and not easy to get to. We need to have miniblinds with cords on them so we can lift them completely up when needed. We don't have the reach to use the miniblinds without cords. We would never be able to fully open them. If we could push them up, we would have to get a ladder to try to get a hold of them to pull them back down without a cord. One complaint. The price. It was way too high. Almost triple the price of ones without cords. I guess this is due to the fact that miniblinds are not made with cords anymore. ... show more

Cordless blinds tend not to work after awhile so corded ones are important to us. Also, these blinds fit into the existing holders so there is no need to remount them.

These blinds looked good, very thin. However the holder on blinds was a deal breaker for me. They were flimsy, difficult to figure out how they would hold blinds. People reviewed them poorly, I thought I could use my previous hardware. You can’t use hardware from better blinds, different size header. You get what you pay for.
