Description

Contains 7 species of Coralline Algae (pink, creamy light pink, fuschia, hot pink, lavender, and magenta). Species of coralline do slightly shift colors depending on their environment especially with differences in lighting and magnesium levels but these species of coralline will generally stay within these shades of pink. Developed in a laboratory and contains actual live algae spores. Other products are simply a mixture of calcium and magnesium. Will also aid in establishing your tanks biological filtration, by providing fresh living bacteria. Our Pink Fusion algae strains are highly epiphytic stains that will help to outcompete other nuisance algae and diatoms. Effective in improving water quality by controlling ammonia and nitrite levels. Reef safe for all marine fish and corals and our holding tanks are 100% fishless so there is no chance of parasites. This is a live product and must be used by the date printed in the bottle. Every bottle is bottled fresh on the date that it ships and has a 21 day shelf life. For Saltwater Use Only. 1 Bottle Treats up to 50 Gallons. Developed and manufactured by ARC, a licensed aquaculture laboratory permitted and licensed under the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Department of Agriculture, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. 1 Bottle per each 50 gallons of tank volume (including sump) is needed for best results. • I failed don't blame the product, great product
So i did everything to the recommendation, but guys seriously give them a break man, your tanks parameters need to be a certain level of many things in the water, Coralline algae is very rare and hard to obtain, its live spores not magic in a bottle, the product delivered, and it didn’t work because MY tank is NOT at the required levels to support the growth of coralline algae its a good product if you want to buy it make sure your stuff is right before you order and then blame them for your lack of environmental readiness, 10/10 GREAT PRODUCT! ... show more

  • Visible signs in 4 weeks!
I’m pretty sure my results aren’t the norm, but I have many growing spots after only 4 weeks. Many spots! I added this bottle as soon as I was past the initial cycle of the tank. My diatom bloom isn’t even over and I noticed that some spots weren’t rubbing off the glass… As I gave the spots a closer look, there were a lot of them all over the glass. Sure enough, they’re the good stuff… and they’re growing. I’ll be breaking out the razor blade to remove them from the front glass very soon. I will note this: I have kept my parameters very constant and stable since day one, via water changes. Alk @ 8 dkh, Ca @ 350, Mag @ 1050, pH @ 8.2, salinity @ 1.024. I don’t keep my parameters on point for the coralline, but rather it’s just an easy and good practice. Super easy with just weekly 10% water changes for a new tank. But like the instructions say…. You gotta have stability for coralline to thrive, just like with corals. I’d almost be willing to bet that all of the negative reviews are due to the owner not keeping healthy and stable parameters. It’s not a miracle bottle after all, just the spores you need from multiple strains. Treat it right, it’ll grow. PS. No other form of coralline has been introduced to my tank. I used completely dry rock, all new equipment, and I haven’t even introduced a cleaning crew yet, so no snails or hermits bringing it in. I’m pretty sure it didn’t hitchhike in on the pair of clownfish! 😂 This is the whole reason I purchased it to start with… because it was going to be the only way to introduce it for a while, plus I wanted pink! ... show more

  • Did not work for me
I tried both the purple and the pink. There was two weeks left before the expiration date. Tested both in a 17 gal tub with dry coral. Used Instant Ocean Reef Crystals. After 4 months, no signs of coralline algae.

  • It worked well quick with good conditions provided
Added to my aquarium approx 14 days after receiving due to needing to lower nitrates. It is not even a month later (3weeks) and there is now good signs this worked well. I have noticed many pink dots and green hard algae on old brown rock as well of some of the whiter rubble rock work in the tank. Now seeing the green hard algae all over also, great sign that it will all be pink soon enough. Worth the wait for sure. I do have purple painted rocks in the pictures but the big holey brown one had no previous color after it being in tank for a year or more and same with the rubble on top of the encrusted rock. Also a spot growing on silicone/glass in corner. Hoping it will knock out the diatoms/brown algae if it takes hold well. I did have one rock over the past year with good corilline already but it never spread and was only a few speckles for the longest. For some reason adding this accelerated its growth as well in my opinion. That is the rock holding the rubble pile. ... show more

  • Doesn't seem to work. (updated, maybe it does?)
Update. This product may have worked after all, just much slower than anticipated. It was a few months later but I definitely have much more growth of pink coralline than expected. I'm raising my review to "worth a shot". This is my second time trying their coralline in a bottle product (two different tanks, 1 using purple, the other using the pink strain). It's possible that my choices of lighting etc. aren't great at encouraging coralline but my calcium and alk levels are very stable and I successfully grow acropora and other SPS. I was very hopeful to get some nice pink coralline growth (I don't care for the purple variety very much) but after a few months I don't see much difference than what would be growing without purposeful introduction. I do wonder how well this stuff survives during ground shipping in hot months. I have to imagine that being in a UPS truck that is 100+ degrees winds up killing many of the spores. ... show more

  • Never received first order! Made it right at lightning speed
It’s not been long enough for me to speak as to how well this stuff works, it can’t hurt for sure. If you use already live rock with algae growing on it then this isn’t for you, but if your like me and started a new tank with clean fresh dry bleached reef rock, this will seed the algae in your tank without buying expensive rock or frags. The first order said delivered but must have been delivered to the wrong address because I never seen hide nor hair of it or heard anything from neighbors. They made it right at lightning speed!!! Was really impressed with the customer service !!! ... show more

  • Let it grow...
So I ordered this product with fingers crossed for some positive results. Got home and it was crammed into the mailbox which was unexpected since it was ordered with Prime and considered a "live" algae. Opened up the packaging and the bottles were wrapped nicely in some quality bubble wrap and the packaging was in perfect condition... seen there were no ice packs or anything, and noticed that the bottles were noticieably warm to the touch. Im assuming its from sitting inside a metal mailbox all day in the sun. So I start reading the instructions and it says that it doesnt do well in cold so am relieved a little bit. I follow the directions for adding to the aquarium and in the middle of the stepss it says to use the enclosed brush to scrape the insides of the bottle and loosen the spores from the sides. Unfortunately there was to brush for either purple or pink bottle. I had a tooth brush on hand that i use to clean coral plugs though so used that. I had some concerns with the temperature and being alive, and no brush being included, but will just have to wait and see. This is one of those aquarium products that take time to work, so no instant results. If product does well I will update the review accordingly. ... show more
