great for cosmetics and fits nicely on my vanity. it does have a hum which is more audible at night when all is quiet. not really for traveling - too bulky for the mid-section of the car. there is no temp control just cold or hot.

I bought this for the upstairs bedroom, to either chill a cold pack or heat a moist heat pack for muscle or nerve pain relief. Sad how age causes new aches and pains.... I thought that this could eliminate the need to go up and down the stairs to get a cold pack out of the freezer, or nuke a hot pack in the microwave. At 40 degrees below ambient, this works well on the cold pack(s). We have a couple of small cold packs in it now. As for the heating function, I realize that the description said up to 149 degrees, and for my wife, this isn't hot enough. My boyfriend had bought me a mini fridge to keep my skincare in for Christmas. It stopped working after less than a week, so he took it back to the store. We looked on Amazon for a replacement and saw this Cooluli one. It had good reviews (I saw one review that said it was still working great over a year later), so we ordered it. This mini fridge is much quieter than the previous one I had. Plus it has a little spot inside the door for storage. It’s been running for 2 months straight now and zero issues.     • Perfect for the bedroom

Our dog needs anti-convulsant medication three times a day--first thing in the morning, mid-afternoon, and at bedtime. The medication needs to be refrigerated, and it is frustrating to have to go downstairs to the kitchen first thing in the morning, seven days a week, 365 days a year. By keeping the meds in this fridge in the bedroom, it's right where it needs to be for two of the three doses, and actually pretty convenient for the third dose most of the time, too. It makes thing so much easier. The fact that we can plug it into the DC outlet in the car (or even power it through USB!) will likely come in quite handy someday as well, I'm sure. It does hum, but the noise doesn't bother me at all. It's not very loud. I work from home and my office is right next to the bedroom, and even with both doors open I have to get all the way into the bedroom before I can tell if the fridge is running or not. Some people spend good money on a machine that makes white noise to help them sleep; in this case it's just a bonus. I haven't tested the temperature but it seems a bit colder than our regular fridge. After using it for about a week I do see that some ice crystals have started to form on the screws in the back, as others have said. So far it's not an issue. I do keep the fridge on a plastic tray just in case, to protect my wood floors from potential ice melt, but so far there hasn't actually been any issue. If there gets to be a lot of ice, I'll defrost it. On the whole it's pretty impressive for a refrigerator that's smaller than a breadbox. ... show more

    • Junk - they don't work

I bought two units for my massage therapy studio, with the intent to provide cool damp cloths for clients when needed instead of always the hot steamed towels. One unit stayed warm and doesn't cool at all. The other one literally froze the cloth solid. I tried both dry and damp to compare and both froze solid. Both are defective. I tried for several days just in case I was overlooking something, and I tried different electrical outlets. Nothing changed. I repackaged them to return to Amazon, only to discover that they're NOT RETURNABLE through Amazon. You can only contact the company directly. Which I did. We played email tag. They wanted me to jump through all kinds of hoops and try other things (like plugging it into my CAR which is not where I need to use it), which required me unpacking and repacking them several times over to fulfill their requests. The last time the second unit slightly bumped the floor while unpacking (AGAIN) and actually BROKE where the cord is supposed to plug into it. I give up. I asked if they want me to send them back or just throw them away. They said I can return them but I pay for shipping. Paying to ship two good sized boxes of defective broken merchandise isn't exactly cheap so no, I'm not going to do that. It's not worth the hassle at this point. I just have to chalk it up to a loss. :'( Also... I asked another business owner friend of mine what they use, since I know they use a mini fridge to provide cold towels in their sauna treatments. She said THIS brand, but hers do the SAME THING, freezing the towels!!! So they only put them in there RIGHT BEFORE the treatment. Don't waste your money.
