I love everything about this ice maker, the only thing i had a problem with was hooking up water to water faucet, if a juction was sentbto connect together, then it would have been perfect.     • Misleading POS with no customer service
DO NOT BUY THIS THING !!! I would certainly not say it’s a 55lb storage. It would have to be jammed to the top and spilling to hold 55lbs… the bin fills and shuts its self off closer to 35-40 lbs max. We would not have wasted our money if we knew this. I reached out to the company and asked them about it 3 times.. neither time did they answer my question. It was clear that as mentioned in the other reviews.. your not getting anyone with English as a first language. The owners manual sucked! They even misspelled the word “ ice “ multiple times. Be prepared to use some of your own know how to figure this out. Also.. the adjustable legs it comes with …. Do not adjust them so the unit sits up as high as the legs allow .. the legs are so cheap mine were broken after we put them on and put the unit into place. We had to pull it back out and take them off and just build a wooden base with rolling wheels for under it. Certainly not worth the money if you need to use or hold a decent amount of ice like we wanted. But I guess if your just using in your house for drinks now and then, then this is the unit you want… but if buying for any type of commercial use, just back away slowly and spend the money on something that’s worth it. Because this is not. Buying an extended warranty through Amazon will not help neither, as that’s what I did and when I tried to file a claim when this thing broke the warranty company denied it because it had been less than a year and said the manufacture had to cover it, the manufacturer never responded Amazon refuses to refund my money so now I have $1000 machine paid over $100 extra for Extended warranty on it and it’s broken no one will fix it and no one will give you back your money! Complete waste of time you will be scammed out of your money if you buy this and Amazon will not help you ... show more

    • Cubes do not break up well. Switching to bottle-fed is done with a paper clip on the front panel.
I bought this unit and have been using it for about a month now. It makes ice really fast and can use in-line or a water bottle. I ran a line to it and installed an in-line filter. All the hoses and connectors are included, but the filter is not. The instructions make no mention of how to switch to the water bottle, but there is a note on how to do so on the control panel on the front of the unit (use a paper clip in the small hole to switch between functions). The instructions also do not make mention on how to make the cubes thicker or thinner. The default cubes are very thick and probably the cause for the cubes not breaking up. I have not yet played around with it enough to have discovered how to change this setting on my own yet; I will update this review when I do. As it is the default thickness prevents the ice from breaking up very well at all. You will need to bust the ice up somehow before transferring it to a cooler or freezer. If you move ice from the unit directly into a freezer it WILL freeze into a solid chunk. I recommend keeping a large waterproof nylon bag to transfer the ice into and freeze that first, then bust it up in the bag and transfer to your bin. Until I figure out how to make the ice-making cycle shorter this is going to have to be my approach. Far from ideal, but having it on demand trumps the inconvenience of this process for me. My biggest complaint is with the manual. The set-up instructions are easy to follow and fairly intuitive, however the actual operating instructions are unclear and incomplete. Overall it is a vast improvement from our old-counter-top unit. It is going to be great to have for cookouts and parties (when we can have those again). 4 stars for the lifestyle improvement, 1 star deducted for the lack of clarity in the instructions. Update: there is a way to adjust the cycle from 6-12 minutes for thicker or thinner cubes. Keeping it at 6 minutes is the best way to get the cubes to break-up easiest. ... show more

I was on the fence for a while about ordering and which ice maker to order. So glad I finally ordered this one. This ice maker works great. It produces ice very quick. No trouble with anything so far. Really nice having an ice machine around. I never realized just how much I would use.

    • Don't waste you're time purchasing!
Pulled out of box, let sit 14 hours so freon could sit properly after shipping. Plug in and go thru the crappy instructions and doesn't work. We are in the refrigeration industry so pretty knowledgable and it simply DOES not work. I try to send it back and this place just wants to give me the run around. Waste of time and money.
