    • Commercial unit. I can't get anyone to fix it.
Unit broke in the first 3 months and has been impossible to repair because of the commercial designation. Scotsman will not reply and I have been offered no resolution from authorized Scotsman dealers. There's no return option on amazon so I'm going to try to seek other remedies including (unfortunately) this review. Update - Scottsman has responded and we have another service visit this week. They validated it is a commercial unit which is (somehow) the problem Update - another service visit. "since it is a commercial unit we will repair it instead of replace it. We'll need to get a refrigeration person out to test it." There should be a warning about purchasing items no one will work on. I will never buy a commercial appliance again. Weeks later... The saga continues with service reps not showing up and scotsman ghosting me at the corporate level. They're not even trying at this point. Like other users, I found the Scotsman UN1215A-1 to be unreliable. The nugget ice is great, when it works. However, I have spent hours cleaning the machine; re-cleaning the machine; and on the phone with Scotsman trying to get the machine to work. It it very inconsistent ice production and I do not recommend the Scotsman UN1215 Ice Machine. ... show more
