I've had it running for a couple of weeks. Working good so far. It is smaller than our previous unit which I like. Runs quiet. Have not figured out how to adjust the freeze cycle to have less webbing of the ice. I know you can adjust the freeze cycle to run longer but I am at the factory default setting now and it needs to be less time. I just need to refer to the manual, but haven't. Updated 7/11/2023. What I said is true. But the unit started failing 30 days after the post. The full story is the first unit I ordered came damaged. I didn't try it to see if it worked. Ordered #2 came undamaged. so this is what the original paragraph was about. 30 day into the use, the bin would fill 1/2 full of water and ice made from the machine. Thinking the drain was plugged, i emptied the bin of ice and water. Drain not plugged anymore. More week pass by. I now a have a timeline of events. Makes ice for two days. Day 3 goes by and no issues. Day 4 - water fills the bin along with ice. Days 5 and 6 - bin is completely empty of water and ice. Unit will not make ice unless you reboot the unit, then the process starts over again. Order third unit. Third unit came in damaged in three places, but box was undamaged and I used it to ship #2 unit back with. Third unit ran but never made ice. Called Amazon to return the third unit today. I am done with this unit. Clearly then have quality issues. Looks good but that is it if you have enough time and effort to remove the protective coating on the stainless steel panels. Manual is bad as well. Not user friendly ... show more

This thing has been a staple in my house for a while now! Yes you have to break the ice. But it puts out so much ice so fast. The ice really just snaps when you break it. Ice holding stays full at all times. Even if I dump the ice in a cooler for our delivery drivers, it rakes no time for it to build back up!. If you buy it, and you should.... use the cleaning instructions! It will work flawlessly ... show more

I should've known better. Nothing about this unit is "commercial." A true commercial ice maker comparable to this one will cost about $4000, and for the $800 price tag on this one, you get what you pay for. I bought it simply to meet the ice demands of our family of 5 and it can't even do that. It's cheaply made, flimsy and arrived damaged. Technically, after a lot of frustration, it did produce some ice, but it's loud, requires constant babysitting, leaks, the instruction manual is worthless . . . it's just more Chinese-made garbage and will be sent back. The ice maker arrived damaged. It looked great, but it would not make ice. Customer Service from Vevor was not helpful, but Amazon Customer service was OUTSTANDING! They immediately issued a full refund. I took the rear cover off and discovered the reason the ice maker would not make ice was a broken copper tube between the compressor and the collector. Had the Vevor customer service been more responsive, I’d have replaced it with another of their units; but under the circumstances, I purchase a different brand. The unit appears to be high quality but I was, of course, never able to evaluate its effectiveness in making ice. ... show more
