Ordered this for the new PS5 we bought for Christmas but it does NOT fit the standard PS5. Received a replacement but it doesn’t fit either. Also, we noticed the packaging doesn’t match the advertised item. This is advertised as a cooling stand for a PS5 but the box says P-5.

    • Easy to attach and detach
The cooling stand mounts to the bottom of the PS5 w/disk model. The form factor of the PS5 base is indented in the stand to firmly seat the console into the cooling stand. The included screw inserts from below and keeps the two pieces secure. The fans make a little noise when they are one, but the noise isn't much more than the normal console fan noise. And you don't have to have the fan on all the time. If you are using your console for lower end tasks or playing less graphics intensive games you probably don't need the fan. For higher end games it is nice to have just that little extra cooling going on. I tend to leave my fan on low all the time. I have discovered the PS5 doesn't provide adequate power to properly charge the controllers. To use the charging ports on the cooling stand I plug the stand into a power supply rather than into the console. For the times you might want to or need to plug your controller in while using it you will need to plug directly into the PS5 if you power the stand this way. Another thing I like about the cooling stand is it makes for a broader base which gives more stability to the PS5 standing up. Visually, it looks nice and that it belongs as part of the console. ... show more
