Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The pad was working fine and looking great the first month then afterwards one of the fan started making weird clciking noises all the time. You've gotta play with the wire and angle of the fan if you want to get rid of those noises... EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU TURN THIS DAMN THING ON!!! On the video it's doing quite alright actually, one of the quietest clicking sounds ever! Terrible!!! And now this morning the other fan just didn't turn on!! It was the "undamaged fan" but now it's totally broken!! Won't even turn on! Been trying to get a hold of this company via email and phone at several offices and no response at all!!! First month I was interested in actually buying another couple of attachable fans to have supreme cooling power but this thing ain't working at all after 2 months, what a waste of money!! Totally silent customer support too! I've had my share of cooling pads in the past and never did I have such an issue!! The metal pad is fine... as decoration or paperweight, 'cos as a cooling pad right now it's USELESS! I would actually like to get this fans fixed and buy another set for extra cooling power but since noone replies anything anywhere at all (i've sent emails to abut 3 different country offices!!), am stuck with this AWFUL EXPERIENCE I CANNOT RECOMMEND! ... show more

I bought this about 2 1/2 years ago and have used it since. I was pretty pleased with this laptop fan for awhile. It did good for the first year and a half or so, then I started running into issues. The fans became louder. And eventually they would run at different rpms than the other one, making weird noises. Tapping the fans would often cure the problem for awhile. Or unplugging and plugging the USB cable back in. Eventually though, they just quite working. I do like the fact that the unit can wrap around my 15" Mac Book Pro and allow me to slide the whole thing into my backpack. And to be fair, after about 2 1/2 years of use, that isn't too bad. But now that it is broken, I will probably look at trying a different cooling fan set up for my Mac Book. I would give it 3.5 stars if I could. ... show more

This is hands down the best cooling pad I have ever come across in my life! I play a lot of video games on my laptop and it tends to get hot and overheat so I have to have a cooling pad under it at all times. Before I started researching about them I always just bought those plastic coolers you can buy from Big Lots and when the second one broke I just had enough and I was on a mission to find the best and long lasting cooling pad I could find no matter the price. That's when I came across this one and I have had it for over 5 months now. It still works great and is super durable. The fans are silent, you can barely even hear them and they cool the laptop great. When I put my hand under it and touch the laptop the whole surface there is cold and it cools the whole area evenly. The whole cooling pad is like a grid, so you can clip the fans in place anywhere on it which is great because all laptops have the vent area in a different locations. The only con is that it's uneven, I guess most people like it that way but I would rather prefer an even stand, so if they could add extension legs to the front I would really happy. In overall you definitely want an aluminium cooler because it lasts longer and won't get hot. Also the movable fans are just great, they are silent and you can move them around to the right spot. This is the best cooling pad I have ever had and will definitely buy it again if the one I have should ever break. Love it!! ... show more

Order was shipped in two days and delivered in one. Setup was easy--you simply click the fans into the location you'd prefer them to be, so I could place one directly under my one hotspot and the other wherever as back-up. I popped the USB cord into my computer (which, but the way, has a USB extension, so you don't have to worry about your only functioning USB port being taken by this pad) and thought I would have to attempt a refund for a non-functioning product. Although I was aware from other reviews that the fans ran silently, I didn't realize how silent silence could be. Without a sound, they produced gusts of cool air at a low speed. My laptop fan did not run as hard as it normally does while I was gaming and my laptop barely got warm! (So I wonder why my fan ran at all, but I think it needs cleaning.) I'd definitely recommend this product :) Update 10/1/15: After less than two weeks (starting about three days ago), one of the fans has started rattling violently for about 5 minutes on startup before settling down. It's unrelated to the pressure of my laptop--the fan is actually rattling on its axle. I have no idea how to remedy this or if it's a sign the fan is going to malfunction or die soon. ... show more

I have this product on my desk and use it with a 13" laptop. There is some noise from the fans running (to be expected) but zero humming or buzzing. My laptop overheats as it has no venting built in (crappy design) and this totally solves the problem. I don't know how "portable" this really is even though they provided a nifty velcro band that allows you to basically insert your computer into the back brackets and then carry the cooling tray and the laptop as a package. I suppose if you have a larger laptop case then that would work. Love the ability to move the fans to the exact location needed. The finish of the product is great and there are no annoying LED lights with this to light up under your laptop. I definitely recommend this unit if you're looking for something that has a fairly small footprint and works. ... show more
