  • Excellent book to learn from in an undergrad class.
The required book for my class was Dorf’s control systems book. Another good book but I found it was a little hard to learn from. Noise was perfect for my learning style. Was very detailed and explained the concepts very well. Numerous examples and chapter problems. This is my favorite control book.

  • Excellent up to date controls engineering text.
I had been using a controls engineering book from the 90's written by one of the industries best authors. A coworker had this book (previous version) and I took a look at it. I found the Author's writing style very easy to understand. I'm so glad I got this book. I'm making good progress now. The integration with matlab is very important. I find myself able to jump around in this book depending on what I need to know/do at the time without difficulty. If you're working from a controls engineering text that 20yrs old as I was you're missing out! ... show more

  • This book does a good job introducing you to the subject.
Great introductory text, however coming from Rowell and Wormley's System Dynamics, Nise often lacks theoretical rigor so definitely not a great self contained book in that regard.

  • I really enjoyed this Control Systems book.
This is a very good book! 1) It has many well worked examples 2) Many questions/exercises 3) Well explained concepts and diagrams I also love the loose leaf version. It's much cheaper. I put it in ta 3 ring binder and the pages were very accessible.
