My 2009 Jeep has a 3.5mm MP3 connection as well as a USB connection built into the audio system. But I wanted to add Bluetooth. This device does that very neatly. It came packaged with the 3.5mm cable and a USB cable, plus a 1/4" audio adapter (which I don't need) for the 3.5mm cable. It also included instructions. At first, I gave it a try without reading the manual by plugging it into the USB outlet. The device powered up right away and the display numbers flashed but no pairing. I finally read the manual and discovered that, while it would charge up via the USB connection, it required the 3.5mm connection to work with my 15 year old Jeep's audio system. I plugged in both cables, although the USB is only needed for charging (there's an indicator on the device that tells you what the charge is; with max charge it will read 100). Once I had it properly plugged in, it powered up and paired with my phone right away. I could play from my phone through the device with no problems with good quality audio. The device has a built in audio volume function (rotate the round button on the interface), but the audio on my Jeep's built in system also worked and overrides the device audio when used. Not a big deal one way or the other. My only gripe is that I ended up with the device hanging from one or two cables into my audio system. There's a place for me to store it, but the cables kind of get in the way. I'll need to find a way to bundle up the cables. We have a 2010 Silverado that doesn't have Bluetooth installed on the radio. We previously had a super cheap receiver that barely worked to play music and we definitely couldn't make calls with it. This is an excellent, good value replacement for our old Bluetooth. Primarily, the aux connection is super solid and stable which was one of our main problems before. Using the short aux port instead of the cord the receiver itself is stable and doesn't wobble at all. It was super easy to set up and connect to our phones. I like this compact bluetooth receiver. The package came with the receiver device, a USB-A to USB-C charging cable to charge the internal battery on the receiver, a male-to-male 3.5mm audio adapter, a short 3.5mm audio cable, and a small instruction manual. The unit is very easy to use. It has a USB-C port for charging the internal battery. The knob on the front with a digital display to show the internal battery status and volume settings. I am using this as a headphone amp. When paired with iems it is way better than I expected. It even powers most headphones. The Bluetooth 5.3 is very good. Still a little compressed but Bluetooth is getting better with each version. Really small. Not as good as an audio Bluetooth amp 10x the price but pretty darned good.     • Works well with older tvs
I bought this for our 2010 tv that was sans bluetooth but did have a headphone jack and a USB-A to power this receiver. The unit powered up and using the instructions, had it transmitting in 2 minutes. My bluetooth earbuds can now connect to the tv.
