I love the fact that it has a timer, so no risk of forgetting and leaving it run too long. You first remove any pets and plants, then set the timer to the amount of time you want it to run, then leave the rv or house. I used it in our rv for killing mold and removing the odor. I first cleaned the mold with an alkaline mold removing product (Concrobium Mold Control), then used the ozone machine to, hopefully, kill any spores in the wood. The mold spray did leave some discoloration on the wood. Only used the ozone machine 10 minutes the first day, then 30 minutes the next day. It's been a few weeks now, but the odor is still gone and nothing has grown back. Just do your research first, and don't use it too long, because ozone can dissolve the plastic insulation around wires and cause a fire. This is a very powerful machine and way too strong for an rv, though, so just don't use it too long. Would be great for a house, especially a musty basement. Good quality. These are awesome for everything from killing smoke odors to killing cockroaches but it can kill you too. DO NOT walk into a room where this is running, it can destroy your lungs. Standard procedure is to place it as close to the door you will walk into later as possible to turn it off (if it's running), open all doors and windows and get back out for 30 minutes. It has amazing properties (ozone) but it can kill you like it does anything else. If you can smell it, you are too close. Open the door, unplug the unit if it's still running, open at least a door or window and get out for half an hour. That works. Assuming it won't hurt you for breathing it for extended periods is a mistake. It kills organic material, and you are organic. Great tech, but don't treat it like cotton candy. It has to be taken seriously. ... show more

This is a great for home, auto, garage, shop, shed, attic and on and on. I have a daughter who is sensitive to smells before I can even smell the problem. I used this exact one as she was growing up. My daughter purchased a 2020 Hyundai with leather. It had 28,000 miles on it and is in great condition with no dings or dents from and elderly man. The man has been suffering from severe arthritis. He doesn't have family to help him out and unfortunately is to prideful about asking/letting others help him. The inside of the car looked very different from the outside with the exception of anywhere he could easily reach without increasing his body pain. We cleaned and scrubbed the interior, as well as, the vents and changed the cabin filter. It still had and odor I which I could even smell. I put the Alpine Air Ozone in it with the windows rolled up and the vents blowing the outside air, then recirculated the air. Lastly with the air conditioner on. Each time for 10 min and now 8 months later still absolutely no recurring smells after the initial u daughter to having for more years to come. All three still work perfectly. 👍👍 ... show more

After reading hundreds of reviews on several different models and comparing prices, I chose the Alpine machine. My story: I purchased a house and the previous owners had cats and smoked in the house. We did smell any remnants of cats, but the smoke was cough cough for us. Understand that my family is allergic to cigarette smoke and my son allergic to cats. We had the carpets professionally cleaned not once, but twice and painted the house. It helped a great deal, but I could still really smell the cigarette smell. At this point I was trying not to have to replace the carpet in the house because it was really good quality carpet. My carpet guy suggested that I rent an ozone machine because that’s what they use in the fire restoration jobs he goes on. I couldn’t really find one available to rent and for the difference in the rental cost, I figured I could just purchase my own. Once I decided on the Alpine machine I was quick to place my order. For the looks, price, reviews, and functionality I figured it was a good choice and it was! I used it for 2 hours the first time (mainly because I was nervous and didn’t want to blow up my new house) on the 5,000 setting, 90 minutes the second time on the same day (since it needed a little more treatment) on the 10,000 setting, and 90 minutes one more time the next day at the 10,000 setting. Let me tell ya this sucker works!! There is a BIG difference between the 5k and the 10k setting though. You have to look closely to see which side the red circle flip button goes to for the setting. I will say that the machine itself does leave an industrial type odor which I had read in other reviews, but it’s much better than the smoke smell! Totally doable! After each day, I did open all the windows to reoxygenate my home with fresh air and clear that industrial smell, but WOW it really works. I don’t smell smoke anymore and it’s been 3weeks since we’ve been in the place. I definitely recommend it for this type of usage and I plan to use it again in the spring in my garage and at my parents in the basement. In comparison to the other machines I think the value of this one is worth it. If it sold for $5-$10 less ($79.99 - $84.99) it would own the market. If your are on the fence about the product, I say get it! Hope this review helps because all of the others really helped me.
