I waited 3 months before writing a review, just to make sure the machine was solid. So far, its been reliable and wonderful. I hooked up dedicated water/drain lines. I have it set to -6min on ice making timer, since we like thinner ice. If you use custom ice settings and you lose power it will reset to default. This is not a problem, because the menu and buttons are very easy to use. Very pleased with this product, i would recommend to others is they have space and hookups to install. My wife loves it, she is a big ice person and this thing makes tons of ice. We often take bags of ice to church and friends, as well during hurricane power outages we delivered some ice to people in our city who lost power for days. ... show more

I have every intention of editing this review after we settle this issue. -Compressor unit arrives damaged (little crease in top stainless lid): Amazon promptly credits back just over $300. (Probably should’ve returned the unit then……hide sight is 20/20) I’ve had the unit for 2 weeks: WEEK 1: worked great. The end of the week we shut the unit down with the power switch since we wouldn’t need it over the weekend and the unit generates some heat (the compressor coil)during the ice making process. WEEK 2: turn it on, everything sounds normal. Few hours pass, go to get ice, just old ice last week in the bottom, E02 code. 👨💻 read the manual. Says unit timed out making ice. Turn it off, let it sit, turned it on, same thing. Repeated the process several times. Had a refrigeration guy just take a look and listen, says the unit is low or out of refrigerant……… Awaiting their customer service………….. Seller sends a second unit, let the unit rest for 24hrs after receiving, hook everything up, makes a full bin of ice…….same exact problem. Seller will not reply to emails and they don’t have a phone number. DONT BUY ... show more

High production machine that will support heavy ice consumption for home use. Installed fairly easily with one trip to hardware store for parts to fit it to my existing drain from large capacity ice machine. Quite loud at first when the ice starts to fail into the empty large capacity bin, but less noisy as it fills up with ice. Seems to be well built, certainly a bargain for the price, came in very good protective packing. Not as quiet as our previous Whirlpool but 3x the capacity at 1/3 rd of the cost.
