This did not cool my living room that is about 280 sq ft. So I moved it to my bedroom that is about 180 sq ft, it worked a little better but for almost 400 with tax, I expected more. The picture says this model cools 300-350 sq ft but then the manufacturer stated in the Q&A that it can only cool 100-150 sq ft. Less than half of what is advertised. It does have cold air coming out but its not powerful enough to cool a medium sized room with low 8 ft ceilings. Amazon took care of it but don't go through the hassle unless you only have a small room to cool. I found black and decker advertises their 14,000 btu portable ac cools up to 350 sq ft.     • Just a few minor flaws short of great

I was nervous about buying this portable air conditioner since it still had no reviews on Amazon, but it seemed like a great price so I went ahead and made the leap. After using it for a couple weeks, I can say that I am happy with my purchase overall, especially at the price point. There are just a few minor flaws that keep it from being five stars but do not prevent me from recommending it on the whole. The first is that it is on the noisier side for an air conditioner but probably about average for a portable air conditioner. It's noisy enough that I try not to keep it on A/C mode at nighttime since the random stops and starts are a bit disturbing for sleeping. But since I am only using it as a supplemental climate control for a specific room, this is not a dealbreaker for me. The other flaw that impacted my arrangement is that the window ventilation adapter is not uniformly wide, so there ends up being a gap on both sides of the window adapter at the narrower points. Additionally, the exhaust tube is only just barely long enough to reach the bottom of my window, even with the air conditioner placed very close to the window. This means I can't use the window adapter out of the box because the adjustable portion of it requires moving the actual opening to the middle of my window, but the tube only reaches the very bottom. So I had to use only half of the actual adapter and then cut a piece of foam insulation to block out the rest of the window opening. Performance-wise, the air conditioner more than does its advertised job in keeping a roughly 500 sq ft space as cool as I want it. I also like the ability to control the unit via a phone app, which works well with no lag or bugs thus far. Overall, I am happy with my purchase, especially at the price point. ... show more

This AC unit is small and loud, but does pump out cool air. It can cool a small space, but being in the room with it is draining due to the noise. However, on a hot night with no AC, it's far better than nothing. Also, on arrival, one of the castor wheels was shattered. I was unable to get in touch with customer support (got a busy signal on multiple attempts to call - who still has busy signals?), but found replacement parts here on Amazon that fit so just replaced it myself. Only took 10 minutes as the wheels unscrew easily. ... show more

I bought this item especially for the WiFi feature but they haven't updated their app to work with the latest Android. Their customer service (Amazon) was awful. Going to return this product. I do not recommend buying it. It is louder than we expected.
