Many years ago I had a pilonidal cyst on my tailbone, and while it's been fixed, the resulting localized tissue trauma makes it tough to sit on a normal seat for too long. This is especially annoying because I fly around for work a good amount and those plane seats get very uncomfortable! This cushion is perfect for just such an issue. I have an issue with my hamstrings aching when sitting in a car for an extended period of time. This cushion does help some. The quality of the cushion is great. I would have given it a 5 star review but the cushion is short and I am 5'3". I don't believe this would work well for a tall person. I would probably not buy again do to the length. ... show more

I had ordered one of these a couple of years ago. It is very comfortable and has endured me parking my derrière on it for all this time. My mother who is getting up in age needed a cushion for her chair, so I got one of these for her. She loves it and says the same thing, 'very comfortable". Recently I set up a small PC system for photo editing apart from the main PC I use for daily needs and I tried to swap the existing cushion back and forth but that proved ineffective, so I bit the bullet and got a 2nd one for my personal use. Without the cushion, my tail bone starts hurting after just a few minutes but with the cushion, I don't notice any discomfort on my tail bone or lower back, even after long periods at the keyboard. I THREW OUT my back (iliac crest so kinda more my left butt cheek lol) 4 months ago and was trying to decide on something to sit on at work. I landed on this after research and reviews. I narrowed it down to 3 and this looked the most promising for size and shape. It did the trick initially. I had to turn it a bit so the hole was under my left cheek. It was good. I'll note that at that time, I was about 240lbs. If I was still at that weight, I'd be a bit more understanding as to why it lost some if it's thickness (sitting in it 7 hours a day, 5 days a week...I'm realistic here). But it seemed like over time, it just didn't spring back anymore. I'm now at 200 and I'll sit on it and not feel I'm receiving the support any longer. It's a little sad looking. It did, however, fit my wider bottom well and I appreciated that. Also on my soft leather chair (don't be deceived - it's leather but not supportive!), the grip was excellent. It stayed in place flawlessly (and I am NOT graceful! Especially when I was hurting so bad). I wish I could give it a 3.5 star. It's not terrible, but I already feel like I need a new one and for memory foam, that's a bummer. Worth it maybe if you don't weigh as much? Did the trick initially, but for me, I wouldn't purchase again but might recommend to the right person. It's a quality product over all, just not the right fit for me. ... show more

I have back issues when sitting on a desk chair for a long time. The ones at work are made for long sitting times. They are expensive and I cannot afford to buy a $600 desk chair.
