  • Works great!! (unlike the other 3 brands I tried first)
Size: HD VERSION
After several wasted days trying unsuccessfully to get 3 other cheap Chinese brand printers to work with Windows, I got this one. Yeah, it's Chinese too, but what isn't these days? Unlike the others, this company actually has a real proper website with support information and driver downloads. The drivers for this printer have a ton of options and everything is in real proper English (instead of Engrish). The drivers were a quick and easy install. This model also includes a free roll holder which they mention with some of their other models but didn't mention with this one. It comes with a long power cord and a long quality USB cable. It uses a real power cord and not a "brick" style AC adapter. I have already successfully tested it with 5 different sizes of labels using Microsoft Word, LibreOffice Write and Paint.net. Any Windows program should work with this just like any other printer. It's monochrome so photos look horrible on it unless you carefully optimize them (but that's to be expected) but it prints most logos beautifully. Text is dark and sharp with any font at any size. Even more amazing, it supports Linux! Again, quick easy install of drivers and I successfully printed a couple of labels. I got this printer so I could quickly and easily make a label or two on demand without having to feed a whole sheet thru the laser printer and for this it really excels! It is quiet and incredibly fast! If I was 3 inches tall I could surf the wave of paper coming out. I don't print shipping labels but for those of you who do I have no doubt you will be quite pleased with this printer. ... show more

  • Great results, really easy to use.
Size: HD VERSION
This little thermal printer is amazing!! My husband surprised me with it for my birthday~ I started a small online business selling clothes on Poshmark. The first step is to download the software and create an account; you’ll be making labels in minutes. I started with making traditional text only labels and were make two labels from one since we only had the starter roll. I was tired of having to print on paper then cut to tape to shipping box. This printer saves a lot of time and is very quick to print 4x6 labels. When printing make sure your dimensions are set in the printer device properties. I've been using my printer for a few months now with no issues. My delivery carrier scans ivory label effortlessly now~ Whereas before the barcode would sometimes print uneven causing packages not to scan and therefore causing me many headaches. This printer has truly made my life a lot easier. Totally worth the price. ... show more

  • Great postage printer, easy to install and use
Size: BASIC VERSION
The media could not be loaded. I did lots of research on thermal shipping printers and after a few months I decided on this one. It works great and it’s pretty too! Also this K Comer thermal label printer has high printing quality with 203DPI resolution, supports printing labels from 1.57'' to 4.3'' width and 1'' to 11.8'' height, it is compatible with most shipping and e-commerce platforms, best of all it comes with a USB flash drive that includes the driver installation for you to start printing. The 4x6 label printer comes with the newest generation high temperature print head, it can work nonstop for 12 hours or longer and print up to 500,000 labels till print head life end. Best of all this direct thermal label printers don't need any toner or ink or ribbon, just need thermal paper. Last but not least it comes with the roll paper holder as a bonus, which was great since I always buy the roll printing thermal papers. I love my new label printer! Super easy installation. Prints fast and labels look great. Easy to use. I waited a long time to replace my old one but I am soo glad I did. ... show more

  • Works with Mac, but not well
Size: BASIC VERSION
I don't write a lot of reviews but decided to in this case to try and help/inform some people. For those with Macs, it is very easy to install the driver and get going - if you download the driver and it gives a message when double clicking about the download being unsigned (or whatever wording, I forget exactly), you just right click on the file and click open. Then you confirm you want to do that -- it's basically just a security thing making you take one extra step with unverified (that may be the right word ha) downloads - kind of like how winblows vista back in the day had the admin security confirmation dialog pop up whenever you clicked the mouse (that's an exaggeration, but those of you that had the pleasure of experiencing vista know what I'm talking about). Having said that, I initially thought this printer was great value and appeared to work nicely -- it did take playing with the print settings to get the paper size right and then the "scale to fit" helped, otherwise it'd print a small piece of the label but taking up the entire physical 4x6 label -- But after fiddling it printed a single label for me just fine. And all for under $100 would be great. HOWEVER, if you have a PDF or some sort of file that has multiple pages of shipping labels/barcodes/whatever and you go to print that multi-page file, it overlays each page's label/etc. onto the subsequent labels/pages. For example. Page 1 looks great. Page 2 has what was supposed to go on page 2, but also what was on page 1. Page 3 has page 3, 2, and 1's content. I tested this with 4 and 5 page prints. This is unusable for what I need this printer for. I assume this is a driver or firmware issue - I was using the latest as of this writing, which is v1.2.5 on my Mac. So again, this review applies to Macs. The current windows driver is v2.7.7.2. So maybe this works flawlessly on windows in which case this is a good value. But let this just be a warning to you Mac users -- a.) learn how to run files you download and don't write negative reviews about a product because you need to learn more about operating your own computer. but b.) this duplicating/overlay issue when printing 2+ labels at a time is a legitimate complaint about the product, so keep this in mind if you are looking for a thermal printer. If you only need to print one label at a time, great, this printer and the current driver version will work for you. Hopefully they fix this for 2+ label print jobs -- it seems like a driver/firmware issue where the content that is getting printed is getting cached for the given page but then not cleared after each page, causing each subsequent page to get more and more screwed up with more and more combined content/labels getting printed on each sheet. I imagine this can be fixed with a new driver or a firmware upgrade, but I don't know for sure. After testing this for a while with various print settings and wasting dozens of labels, I finally assumed it was a driver/firmware issue -- and after buying a Rollo thermal printer that most of you on here have probably seen here on amazon too, which printed the same multi-label/page jobs flawlessly, I think that confirms the problem with the K Comer. The Rollo printed nicer quality labels too, and it has no issues printing the multi-page/label PDFs, so that's great. The Rollo is double the cost, but still half the cost of a Zebra. The Comer website is lacking, FAQ and support was lacking, and they say you can call them, but all I saw was a phone number with a Chinese country code, not an 800 number or something stateside, so I wasn't going down that rabbit hole. If I missed an 800 number in some insert included in the box or on the website, my bad, but regardless, I don't think a phone call would have solved anything. Maybe the manufacturer will see my review and get this fixed for future purchases, but as for me this is going back. ... show more
